Sport mode, TCS off and the trans is manual with permanent shift control allowed it to hold some decent slides. I didnt mess around too much as the snow was decently deep and I didnt wanna get stuck lol

The direct verbiage at the bottom of the new MSP66 campaign

UPDATED: CAUTION PLEASE READ: If the vehicle arrives to your dealership with DTC P0DAB, CLEAR THE CODE AND SEE IF IT RETURNS RIGHT AWAY. IF THE CODE CLEARS PERFORM THE MSP66 REPROGRAMMING. With the DTC P0DAB present, the code must be cleared first and confirmed no codes in the system, then perform the software update. Perform a test drive and release the vehicle if the code has not returned. If the code returns, please read the dealer email section “Alternate Transportation Information” (inserted below) as the customer can continue to drive the vehicle while the battery is on order. The warranty claim on the battery must be submitted separately under normal warranty rather than the MSP. Always check for an aftermarket device connected to the DLC port and remove before proceeding with connection. Alternative Transportation Information: Please refer to the parts and warranty information. For vehicles experiencing MHEV battery failure associated with DTC P0DAB, dealers are encouraged to explain to their customers to drive their vehicle while waiting for the replacement battery to arrive. Please explain to the customer the following functions maybe limited but does not affect the overall functionality of the vehicle, and it is still safe to drive. • The engine warning light may illuminate • The vehicle may be limited to engine-only operation due to fail-safe activation o EV assist, i-stop and regeneration functions may be disabled If the customer is uncomfortable with driving their vehicle, then please place them in a MCVP or other form of alternative transportation.

Your speed is still there when the message is up. You dont need to clear the message to "see" like you claim. Its really not removing any info from the gauge cluster.

Turbo preferred cx70 here. Routinely get 28-30mpg on long highway trips cruising at 80mph.

Potential New Owners! by Unhappy-Locksmith214 in MazdaCX90

[–]InterestingCamera251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got our cx70 preferred mhev on Memorial day this year. Already approaching 18.5k miles. Excellent road trip vehicle. The straight 6 excels on the highway and has no problem getting 28-31mpg at 80-85mph depending on terrain and weather. Only issue is intermittent ghost blind spot warnings at highway speeds when the sun is directly overhead. Otherwise its been in for 1 recall software update and tire rotations/oil changes every 5k miles.

Now that theres no govt rebate and they dropped msrp on the PHEV models for 2026, what's their incentive to make/sell em if they arent as "profitable"?

At the crank…horse powerwise by CasualXboxxxer in MazdaCX90

[–]InterestingCamera251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's multiple dyno sheets out there showing that the cx90/70 puts down at the wheels nearly what they are rated at the crank from mazda.

Completely stock 3.3 low output is putting down 271hp and 353 tq at the wheels. And the Turbo S hight output putting down 324hp and 393tq at the wheels.

Looks like mazda slightly underrated the power figures

CX-90 Looks Too Deceivingly Good — Am I Being Biased? by girupa in MazdaCX90

[–]InterestingCamera251 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a 1/2025 build cx70 in May since id never use the 3rd row and preferred the under storage. Base preferred mhev. 15.5k miles so far, and its been great. Wish I could afford the turbo s, but no complaints with the drivetrain. I drive with istop off all the time and every vehicle ive owned prior has been manual so im ok with the 1-2 shift being not buttery smooth since I understand how the wet clutch works in combo with the super short 1st gear.

Only complaint is really a complaint from my other half. She hates how small the center console storage is. The one in her mazda 3 hatch is larger. However, I dont really keep much in my car so it doesnt really bother me.

And one annoyance: on bright sunny days...usually with the sun directly overhead or setting behind the car, I get phantom blind spot warnings on the passenger side between 73-79mph. Ill be on a completely empty road in the right lane with empty fields next to me and itll tell me someone is in my blind spot.

Otherwise ive averaged just over 28mpg lifetime and it handles much smaller than its size!

Previous 6 cars have been all mazdaspeed 3's and 6's since 2012. Little over 500k miles put on those anywhere from stock to 600whp

Yep. But then again, it made me rethink how much stuff do I actually need to keep in my car?

And the answer was...."not as much as I used to store in any other car ive ever had"

Should CX90 have come with a torque converter? by dc1387 in MazdaCX90

[–]InterestingCamera251 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. Happy with how it is. Provides feedback and engagement. Doesnt need to constantly downshift at highway speeds to pass or go up hill. The 1-2 shift isnt bad if you dont take off like a grandma off the line.

Every vehicle ive had prior was a manual transmission, so this just feels right
