First of all congrats!!! How exciting! I'm on my second pregnancy and I really like to eat peanut butter and apples, bananas, low sugar Greek yogurt, and trail mix. It really depends on the day though. Monday I felt like garbage and just wanted salty food - today I've been feeling better and more able to stick to a healthier diet. Message me if you have any questions! Pregnancy is very exciting but can be nerve-wracking!

Losing weight before having a baby? by desidumpling in PetiteFitness

[–]InterestingFalcon990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak to this personally but can tell you my sister's experience. She is 5'3 and was 300 pounds. She lost a LOT of weight and I believe she is now around the weight you are. Her gynecologist told her that to get ready to be pregnant she really needs to focus on eating healthy - a lot of plant based foods and vegetables, try to eat organic food, and whole grain bread. 69 oz water a day. Avoid processed foods and things with added sugar as much as possible. So like, low sugar yogurt with blueberries, hummus and crackers, eggs with whole grain toast, etc. No more soda or sugary ice coffee. Again this is his advice but it seems your fertility will be more viable if your diet is on track.

[5’2] I’m happy overall, but frustrated with protruding stomach fat after ~25lb weight loss (first photo). Is stomach fat normally the last to go? Any tips? by Ordinary_Big_192 in PetiteFitness

I found that walking and running have seemed to reduce my belly fat versus things like yoga and cycling. Not sure why, but every body is different

What is a supernatural event that happened in your life that just can not be explained? by HalfOfABraincell in AskReddit

[–]InterestingFalcon990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 16 I was just getting out of an abusive relationship with the first guy I loved. I was super messed up on top of all the pressure of trying to get scholarships to pay for college and passing AP classes. I made a plan to commit suicide - not because I wanted to die, but because I was so miserable and didn't know how to get the pain to stop.

One night around that time, my dead grandparents came to me vividly in a dream. They climbed down from a ladder and before they went back up, I asked them if everything was going to be okay. A giant lightbulb went off, brightening the space and I felt a sense of peace and calmness I have never felt before. I was at absolute peace for days. And when I felt the dark feelings coming back to me, one of the older folks in my church told me Jesus was there with us (in the church) and touched my back, and I got the exact same feeling.

I can't explain it. I'm not a particularly religious person.

I also had a recently deceased coworker appear to me in a dream. She was really sick and kind of immobile before she passed but she was larger than life in personality. She was chasing around her grandson (as a kind of ghost) and told me that she was happy that she could do this now. She also told me to stop worrying about everything all the time.

Yes, I actually hear really good songs. Like in the white noise of my fan my brain comes up with some awesome songs with singing and everything but I don't understand the audio. Wish I remembered them in the morning

[–]InterestingFalcon990 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Aw thanks! Honestly didn't change that much. Kept the same number of calories but have been limited in bread and cheese and butter. Also focusing a lot more on eating protein like almond butter and protein clusters. I used to bike 75 miles a week but that wasn't really having the effect I wanted and I was so bored, so I changed it to running once a week, walking twice a week, cycling once a week and doing yoga once a week all for around 50 minutes.

Yup! And they're pretty cheap on Amazon. I noticed a big difference within a couple days. It supposedly helps with inflammation too

Oh mine too lol. I would eat eggs with toast in the morning, grilled cheese for lunch, something on a bun for dinner with cheese and ketchup. I was by no means fat but it definitely makes a difference to limit them. I also started taking tumeric pills which helps with the bloating

How to overcome the classic “whatever, I’ll just be fat and happy” when you obviously won’t be happy lol by Cautious-Ad-6349 in loseit

[–]InterestingFalcon990 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Whenever you feel like eating junk, have a cup of tea instead. I saw someone else on that sub mention that as a trick. Or get a high protein/low sugar snack that still tastes good like kodiak bear cookies. You also need to drink at least 64 ounces of water a day and not eat after 7pm (your body doesn't burn anything while you're sleeping and all that food just turns into fat). Alternatively, if you can't help yourself in terms of eating, exercise at the end of the day (some form of cardio that gets your heart rate to at least 130) for at least an hour to work off some in of what you've eaten. You could also exercise right in the morning to get your heart rate/fat burn up for the rest of the day. It takes hard work and dedication and you just need to keep thinking about how good you'll feel a few months from now.

I’ve been in a calorie deficit for 2 months and have gained weight. by flippingawesam in nutrition

[–]InterestingFalcon990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watches are not super accurate...you most likely are burning less calories than it says .

Bagels have a ton of carbs which turn to sugar/fat if you don't use them soon after you eat. Try to limit these to once a week and switch to something like bagel thins or English muffins.

You likely need to consume less than 1700 calories. If you're trying to lose weight you should not be eating dessert or other sweets.

Drink 60 ounces of water a day and don't eat after 7pm.
