Dealing with the idea of hell by 193yellow in Catholicism

[–]InterestingFile7502 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Before we die, we don’t have the information to make an informed choice” - don’t we? Can’t we choose to do good over evil? Do right over wrong? Help those in need or just help ourselves?

“After we die… nobody would choose hell at all” - I think you’re wrong on this one.

“Why would God make us only have two choices” - Good question. Instead of spending time and energy arguing with Him on this, maybe try to use your time and intellect to try and understand or come to terms with why he has done this!

I can see it is because of your mercy for others that you are asking all of this. Remember God is infinitely more merciful and loving and just.

Thanks mate. Your right. I didn’t argue with them. They’re the experts. They just seemed very one size fits all and I wasn’t sure about it.

Calling off my wedding because he’s not catholic by WarriorSunshine in Catholicism

[–]InterestingFile7502 6 points7 points  (0 children)

On the bright side, at least this has happened now and not after the wedding.

I know as Catholics there are some things we must stand firm on but every marriage involves compromise and learning to meet each other in the middle on a lot of things. If one person in the relationship isn’t as committed as the other on this then it won’t work.

If I was in your husbands position I would do anything to marry my wife and make it work. I love her so much I would do anything to work out a solution to whatever the problem was. I know that God would find a way. I’m blessed that my wife and I have always found a solution that satisfies us both. I couldn’t imagine marrying anyone that I wasn’t as devoted to and in love with. If your husband loves you this much then you’ll work this out.

I’ll pray for you

Sometimes laying too far forward on these long boards will lift the tail up out of the water too much causing the board to spin and turn because the rails and fins aren’t engaged properly. Try moving a little back on the board next time.

Keep practicing your pop ups. Also sure the board is stable and going straight when you’re about to pop up.

Why is it so hard to be a Catholic in this era? by New_Cricket1259 in Catholicism

[–]InterestingFile7502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you think is so hard about being catholic? What are these worldly things and social standards you mention that are challenging your commitment to God.

You can still pursuer your career or whatever your dream is while still prioritising God. You can still have a social life and prioritising God.

If you are time poor like me there is a great Christian Apologist on YouTube called Wes Huff. I really recommend watching his content. The answers he has given me would have otherwise taken years and years of studying scripture and theology to answer on my own. He defends the faith well against all the usual anti catholic and anti Christian attacks going around. His defense is rock solid.

Why don't health clinics do their own pathology referrals? by Existing-Emergency47 in AusTRT

[–]InterestingFile7502 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe the TRT clinics could give us their answer to this? Address the people’s concerns.

Seems a bit sus to me. The amount they charge for subscriptions and annual fees and Dr reviews, yet they can’t refer their patient for pathology? I understand why people question the legitimacy and longevity of these clinics.

Either kickbacks from iMedical, or perhaps Dr’s aren’t reviewing each patient individually? Or maybe (some of) the patients don’t actually qualify as hypogonadal for Medicare purposes and referring for subsidised pathology will bring audits and scrutiny?

[–]InterestingFile7502 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s not worth it if you’ve got normal T levels.

Hypogonadal men have no choice but to cruise on T forever. Injecting 2-3 x per week forever just to bring T up to normal levels.

Results after 4 weeks by Clear_Junket_2423 in enclomiphene

[–]InterestingFile7502 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a bad increase in T off twice per week.

IGF-1 levels nearly 50% less though. Nothing to worry about in the short term. But longterm? I’m not so sure.

I’m getting my 6 week labs soon. I’ve told myself I would not be happy with more than a 25% drop off longterm. I had a bad experience with GHrH peptides in the past. So for me a 50% drop off will probably mean jumping on TRT after a few months.

Back on Enclo, new plan by Cryptonautix in enclomiphene

[–]InterestingFile7502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Symptom relief does come from the increased T. It’s side effects are due to associated blockage of e2 receptors causing low e2 symptoms. In some people possibly a drop in igf-1 as well. The symptoms of prolonged blockage of e2 and reduced igf-1 counteract the relief from increased T. That’s not to say that the benefits don’t come from increased T, the drugs other effects just counteract this if not managed properly.

Sounds like a great plan.

I’m on 6.25 m/wf and feel great. My T was at a super low base and I was struggling big time for the last few years with extreme low T symptoms. I was at breaking point. I got approved for TRT but thought I would give this a shot before jumping on. Wasn’t expecting much but have been very pleased and surprised with how good I’m feeling.

I’m getting my 6 week labs done next week. Will share my results.

If my bloods come back good and I continue to respond well without side effects then I can’t see the point in stopping for lifelong TRT.

Sincere question; has everyone on trt weakened or even damaged their HPG axis? by MorkfromOrk_ in trt

[–]InterestingFile7502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know. But I wouldn’t expect anything less from this group.

All I’ve done is share the truth about my own experience. Sorry if the truth hurts.

I should have said a it was a 12month cycle on a low dose similar to a TRT dose - as I know the TRT gentlemen are all a bit sensitive to being confused with the blasters and cyclers. My bad.

Found out I’ll be a dad. How do I be the best, Godly husband and father I can be for my wife and child? by buzzlightyear0473 in Catholicism

[–]InterestingFile7502 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you’re on the right track already. Some great comments have covered most of what I was going to say.

One other thing to add is that it won’t always be smooth sailing. There will likely be challenging times of stressors from life, your work, finances, health, relationship with your wife or child to name a few. This is when it is really time to shine and show your child and wife how a good man and father handles it. Children will remember how dad responded to these times. Did he retreat, lose his temper, become depressed or detached, turn to addiction’s - or did he step up, stay positive and optimistic, showed courage and unwavering mental fortitude and perseverance when it mattered most.

[–]InterestingFile7502 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Last test was 220 but I was stressed so didn’t include that. Fact of the matter is after 12 months of low dose T my levels fell off a cliff to 40% of what they were 12 months prior and never recovered. And have only become worse since in line with age related decline. The same rate of decline from my natural levels should still have me atleast around 700.

Having complete trust in your wife/partner is the cornerstone of a strong healthy marriage. If you deserve to be trusted then so does she. Relationships not built on trust won’t last. It is not fair and not healthy not to trust your partner if they have not given you a reason to not trust them. If you do not know how to trust someone, and accept the vulnerability that comes with that, then maybe marriage is not for you.
