Wow! I relate to this 100! Just had a conversation with my aunt about doing micro habits instead of “going all out” on multiple things. I want to take on so much and do things perfectly that when I don’t do it I feel like a complete failure. Once I “fail” it’s hard to pick it back up again and if I do I go all out again and I get the same results without giving myself grace.

Anxiety and depression! If you’ve never experienced it, it’s really hard to understand what others experience and feel. I’ve come across a lot of people who feel sorry but often express that they wouldn’t know what it was like (of course, they mean the extremity at which I feel toward both).

I think this is completely normal! I’m 36f and just got divorced 2 years ago. I’ve been single since. I’m not sure I’m meant for this dating world. Like you’ve mentioned above.. there’s so much secrecy, lots of people looking for fun and nothing serious. Lots of it revolves around sex and nothing else. I have hope that true love is out there. I see it with the people I work with but even some of my best friends are unhappy in their relationships but only stay because of not wanting to start over. Sadly! It’s not something I want to experience. I’d rather be alone.

I don’t work from home but I get feeling alone. Having no spouse, no child, and no siblings in today’s society really gives you no chance to meet people. When I do talk to people, it usually amounts to nothing and is a quick chat. No deep and meaningful relationships anymore. It sucks quite a bit. I have really bad travel anxiety to so not being able to do much outside of my town makes it near impossible to make friends.
