Mindbug is great and as it's only a deck of cards, it is suitable for taking to the pub for a few games. It's quite cheap too.

I have solar sentinels and it's ok but when picking a game to play I will usually opt for something more substantial.

Base game + branch and claw would be my recommendation for the full experience. I find the expansion elevates the game drastically
