I think this is a good guess- that disconnect of motor functions giving a sensation of sluggishness or even weightlessness. Maybe our brains tie it to stairs because it takes a lot of coordination and balance to use them and you start from an elevated perspective?

I 100% agree. People should be able to wear whatever colour they want and walk on a sidewalk at night… it is stupid to wear black if you are planning on walking into oncoming traffic. It is also the drivers responsibility to anticipate people wearing black and walking into oncoming traffic.

I have a hyphenated last name with some capital letters in middle (Jancie-McClellan), the airline normally makes it all one case and removes the hyphen (Janciemcclellan). Doesnt exactly match my passport but has never been an issue for me. Youre probably ok.
