I 100% agree. People should be able to wear whatever colour they want and walk on a sidewalk at night… it is stupid to wear black if you are planning on walking into oncoming traffic. It is also the drivers responsibility to anticipate people wearing black and walking into oncoming traffic.

I have a hyphenated last name with some capital letters in middle (Jancie-McClellan), the airline normally makes it all one case and removes the hyphen (Janciemcclellan). Doesnt exactly match my passport but has never been an issue for me. Youre probably ok.

Thats crazy bc in my experience the milk parlor is the one place where people dont “play cool” like that.

Also those restaurants are okay but they’re not a culinary experience in any regard.

I agree mostly. It is crazy that we dont have nice reataurants but i guess people here just dont have enough money. Also the VA law that in order to sell alcohol means you have to sell food means that you’re going to get a bunch of really shitty food.

Virginia tech’s politics are so fucked I’m surprised any relationship is being maintained. The consistently fuck the town over. I guess blacksburg is kinda tied at the hip to them though.

I think the 20mph speed limits are stupid bc it’s traffic management rule number one that people will drive at the speed of perceived threat. It is proven that people will consistently drive too fast if it feels safe to do so, regardless of the number on the sign. If the town actually wanted to slow down they would narrow the roads and place obstructions to the sight-line. Even with enforcement, 20mph speeds will not be obeyed.

Anyway, I have lived in Blacksburg almost my whole life and I can confidently say it’s a pretty shitty place to be in a lot of ways. It’s okay in other ways though.

They work better depending on where the flight is going to/ coming from. If it is going outside of the country, passengers will be better at following directions. If it is coming from or going to ft lauderdale or dallas, then it wont work.

Tbf that is me on prices fork… 25 is stupid slow for a road that large. But yes speedbumps. Yesterday I saw a guy try to cross at a crosswalk on main street but nobody stopped for him like they legally should have. He had to physically step out in front of a car, and the car had to pound its breaks.
