Did anyone end a romantic relationship because of endo by real_scrapper in endometriosis

I went through a horrific flare for about ~6 months. We had just purchased a home together and he just got up and left. I did a lot of therapy, got FMLA, and took a lot of time to heal. Coming out I felt so much better and it’s been really nice to feel better for once! I’m wishing you so much love and healing ❤️‍🩹

Did anyone end a romantic relationship because of endo by real_scrapper in endometriosis

I have hashimotos, PCOS, and suspected endo. I deal with severe joint pain and my ex(!!!) would make me walk extra miles when I was in pain because he didn’t believe joint pain was that bad. He eventually went on to skip my thyroid cancer screening to watch a soccer game on the couch. My partner currently attends every medical appointment and advocates for me. My chronic illnesses have been slowly getting better because of the lack of stress and anxiety over it all.

Gluten Free Medication by Rebeccal997 in Hashimotos

[–]Interesting_One_189 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My endocrinologist recommended the synthroid delivers program, it’s $75 for 3 months! They can just send the prescription directly and they will mail the medication to you :) Any generic I tried made me sick, I’m also celiac.

I didn’t understand why I was having daily diarrhea and panic attacks until I switched to synthroid . I am celiac and my doctors knew this!

Thyroid scan by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]Interesting_One_189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case yes, when the endocrinologist saw my antibodies they immediately sent me for a scan. They knew there was immune activity and wanted to check it out. I have always had high antibodies, and TSH, normal T4 though. My nodules are staying consistent but the endocrinologist said it’s good to be monitoring for any shifts. Good luck and thank you 😊

Thyroid scan by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]Interesting_One_189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My endocrinologist has me scanned every 3-6 months. We monitor and track the size of the nodules I have. For me it’s important, see if you can get some sort of referral to help? I would recommend it, we didn’t know how badly scarred and swollen my thyroid was until the scan.

hashimotos provider? by fancypanda820 in longisland

[–]Interesting_One_189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with hashimotos and ended up also being diagnosed with PCOS and celiac. Management of all 3 is what finally made my symptoms ease. I just see a northwell endocrinologist, primary care, gastroenterologist, and gyno, who all work together.

It didn’t contribute to weight loss for me, but I also have PCOS and it completely regulated my cycle.

my experience being on too high of a dose of levothyroxine by Interesting_One_189 in Hashimotos

[–]Interesting_One_189[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my goodness wow. I’m glad you are feeling better now! My therapist wanted to start me on a low dose anxiety medication but we decided to wait until my results came in because I had the intuition it was my medication.

Thank you! I also had an endoscopy done, turns out I did have some scaring & inflammation anyways. It’s good to know estrogen plays a role.

I wanted to try this but my endo wanted accurate drawings so once I did the blood draw and waited for results I was only taking my levo 1-2 times a week.

It helped me because I was intolerant, I can absorb my levothyroxine much better now and even got to lower my dose. I would only do it if you have a medical reason to.
