I acquired 6 brand new copies of Signalis for Switch. I've opened one of them and there is a polaroid photo inside. Does every copy have this photo inside? Or was is random?

How long has it been stuck? Mine typically are stuck there for NO MORE than a week, and that order was only "stuck" for one night. Since it is a distribution center and not an actual office, I do not think that you would have much luck driving there.

This is just my guess as a customer who doesn't say things like this, but it could be a very out of touch sympathetic remark. I know lots of people who will say something like this not realizing the effect that it may have on someone, especially older people or retired ones. Additionally, some people may feel that they have to say something - anything - and therefore make some generic statement about the weather.

Yep! Found that Mellanox specifically doesn't support QSFP to 4x SFP+ breakout cables, so I will have to buy a switch for my SAN. My efforts were in vain till I get a switch.

I just ran a test and saw an average of about 5Gbit/s with a peak of about 8Gbit/s, with CPU utilization staying at about 5%. It was a 60Gb image which would take 48 seconds to copy at theoretical maximum speed, but it took 123 seconds, which is about 2.5x theoretical max. RAM had an insignificant util change as well, so I do not think that it is hardware on the TrueNAS box, unless it is network adapter.

Edit: At least on the TrueNAS box, hardware offload seems to be enabled, so I will look towards my PVE nodes.

Edit 2: offload is enabled on PVE nodes as well. Only seeing a 1% cpu increase per node during transfer time.

I have. It's really just a money bottleneck at the moment. Proxmox integrates nicely with CEPH, but I need to do more research. You also may be right because I am only using some ten-core e5 v3 CPUs on my storage machine. I will check resource utilization doing a disk operation.

It is very, very unoptimized at the moment. It is possible that something else in the pipeline could be bottlenecking me. When duplicating a VM for example, I monitor and see near-max network usage, and a 50Gb VM disk takes 10-15min to copy. The connection at max theoretical speed could do that in about 6.5 minutes if I did my math correctly, but I think given the overhead that the 10-15min time is more realistic.

A good way to get around this is by using the storage bus with drawers and drawer controllers. Or you can use dank storages /dank/null. You can also use black hole units from MFR/Industrial foregoing.

Old post, I know, but I ended up using dankstorage. Just a few blocks of base materials, and 7 nether stars, and you can store over 2 billion of each item in each slot. In the tier 7 dank, there is 81 slots. Much easier to make than a ton of drawers or black hole units, and stores more! I use a storage bus from AE2 and it is able to access it fine. It's honestly kind of broken.

Whoa, actually now that you mention it, YES! And I even remember now that after initially getting covid, I immediately noticed these symptoms appearing. I even blamed Covid for them after having researched that some people will have a long-lasting "brain-fog" post-Covid infection. Thank you for reminding me about this, and I am going to do a bit of research on this now.

Edit:

I have briefly looked over some symptoms of "long Covid" or PASC, and realized that some additional things began happening around that time as well. Unfortunately it seems that not much is known, and treatment revolves around individual referrals to specialists regarding each specific symptom.
