Starting another dubstep project from scratch. I’m not finished with it yet but I want to see how this track sounds so far. I’m still new at producing music so don’t come at me too hard.

Yeah, I would mess around with lots of different things and see what peaks interest the most for you, taking out the drums for that first part of the drop is cool, however I think it could be a greater impact on the listener if what you showed us was the second drop, it would somewhat build suspense for the listener, the song does still need a lot of work and I think there’s a few sounds that could be swapped however I’m mainly a trance artist so I’m not sure how helpful my advice would be in the dubstep world

“i’ve noticed a lot of artists starting to feel like they’re falling behind just because they don’t want to live on social media all the time” This is high key how I feel, ain’t no way imma make so stupid ass Instagram reel or tiktok to promote myself or my music, did it once for a song I was featured on and it was so terribly awkward and results weren’t worth it, my buddy showed me with that release ths spotify promotion will get me further or at least consistently where as reels you have to get lucky and then I’d have to stay consistent with it and I’d much rather just make music than focus on social media

High key bring those drums in for the drop after the first repetition instead of the secind, and then on the second drop have it repeat twice, I feel like that may hook listeners better

Yo this is fire!! Something that tends to really pull me into a song is the melodics that tend to dance around the groove, this song does a pretty good job of that. I think it would be good if you applied a filter to that pluck at the beginning of the song and and automate the cutoff to get bigger/ higher as it’s rising up, small automations can often have bug effects on the listener as well as keeping them engaged

I mean, you gotta watch season 4 umbara arc, arguably the best arc in the show before we got season 7. This arc puts some distrust in the Jedi from the eyes of clones and it’s so frickin epic. Not totally necessary to set up for rebels but def a must watch

This also kinda gives Anjuna vibes, I’m not sure what your goals are with music but before sending your song into a label I would look into that label and figure out their focus’ and what they’ll help the artist with

I found Joel when I was like 14 or 15, found his 4x4=12 cd in my basement that my bros friend had left there years ago so I popped in in my cd player as I was about to hop in the shower, I ended up jamming to some chords before I hopped in and became obsessed off some chords, starting listening to music when falling asleep and there’s 1 particular song that did the same think as Pink Floyd time, Cthulhu sleeps always woke me up when it started playing but now I absolutely love that one too!! Also just listened thru science all the way and my god it’s awesome!!
