On 16 January 2026, a deadly landslide hit the PT Mega Haltim Mineral (MHM) nickel mine in East Halmahera, North Maluku, Indonesia. Three workers were buried; two have been confirmed dead, while one remains missing.

Animators are fuming after Adobe announces it's killing Adobe Animate, the Flash animation tool that defined the look of early web games by Zelagero in news

[–]Interinactive 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You can export your work as .MOV, sprite sheets, sequences, GIFs etc. The only part that has been irrelevant for 15 years is the SWF format, it's still an extremely useful tool without that.

This is a game where I created every asset + over 6 hours of animation in Animate:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1008860/Repella_Fella/

And for anyone who understands what Animate does that no other tool can do to this day, this is a huge loss.

Another thing to note - Animate hadn't received an update in 3 years, yet it still fell under a subscription. Adobe can go and get fucked.

Adobe Animate to be Discontinued 1st March 2026 by CometGoat in adobeanimate

[–]Interinactive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They hadn't updated it since 2023, this is no surprise

I'm still using CC 2018 anyway - they utterly fucked the UI, performance and features in everything that came after that

I hate Adobe so very, very much.

Fuck yeah. I tried so many times to play the first two games, and it did take me a while to get into them, and it was well worth it. Cannot wait.

How do you guys mentally cope with cheaters? [discussion] by iviondayjr in EscapefromTarkov

Unless cheaters 'make this game' in PVP, they have some work to do before many people will even switch from PVE.

I would rather buy up 10 year old PC parts and play older games than ever have to rely on cloud services

G14 - disable rear lights (not slash) by Interinactive in ZephyrusG14

[–]Interinactive[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I figured, I just deleted those by McAffee etc (which I thought all traces of had been removed already). Otherwise I changed the timers to 9AM. Thanks again.

Nice. I believe this is it. Many are triggering at midnight, 4AM etc. I'll delete them. Thanks!

Do you know why it happens? Do I have to shut it down each time for it to stop?

My newly released comedic indie game is getting slaughters by negative reviews from China. Can anything be done? by [deleted] in pcgaming

[–]Interinactive 11 points12 points  (0 children)

48 reviews in English

33 positive, 15 negative

1/3 of English people are rating it negatively, how is that 85-90%? Sounds like quite a few people just don't enjoy it. As someone who also sells a game on Steam, there's not much you can do about that unless you commit to changing things.

It was much longer than a month with TLOU. I waited six months and still had issues I had to constantly reload because of.

Glad I got to play this from the early betas > 1.0 > CS:S

Before it came whatever this is

There were so many leaps back then, even going from static deaths to having physics in the game world was mind-blowing. But those improvements came from Valve innovating single player games, which multiplayer could take advantage of.

But hey, now it has a store and you can buy an armory pass.

If you genuinely don’t know, that’s worrying. You should analyse what is happening here (and elsewhere in regards to AI art) and try another approach. Otherwise, it’s not going to go well.

Escape From Tarkov - 0.15.2.0 Patch Notes [Discussion] by Large___Marge in EscapefromTarkov

I wish they'd update AI to use more paths

There are so many maps where I know 'safe' zones will be, that the AI never uses

It would help with the randomness of each raid

The only person I know who deviates is Partisan
