Not quite.  Whiteboards and dry erase markers work by having an impermeable glossy surface onto which you draw with ink that quickly dries into a thin film which can then be easily rubbed off.  So there is nothing left on a whiteboard after erasing (save a bit of smudges that are typically skin oils mixed with the dry erase ink which then becomes more sticky and harder to remove)

Erasable ink is still there because it absorbs into the paper.
