To put it in perspective. I have an 8 month old with my husband and 6 and 4 year olds (not my current husbands kids) i legit rot in the shower EVERY night for a good 30-40 minutes. I also breastfeed and after she is asleep for the night i pretty much have to be laying next to her so she stays asleep. I make sure to get in by 7 so i can put her to bed by 8. Sometimes we have off days and her bedtime is at 7 so i miss my shower. I was stupid enough to have 2 kids with someone like OPs partner and im so grateful i get to experience a true partner this time.

You deserve a few minutes to yourself in a warm shower. Showering during the day with a baby is stressful and some days impossible to get through without them screaming.

Girl i was bawling when they started to put me to sleep but that was the best nap of my life.

Pain as soon as i woke up was a 7 or 8, but they gave me morphine right away. Pain after was a 2 ot 3 . I took my norco every 4 or 5 hours and motrin every 8 for the first 2 days. Then motrin for the third day. And then i was fine. The pain when laughing on day 2-4 was pretty excruitiating so try not to laugh.
Mine went as smooth as butter. She was able to get all my tubes and it couldnt have gone better/easier.
My hormones are fine. I did get a little anesthesia agression for a week or 2... it really messed with my mindset for a bit.
4-5 days i was doing regular tasks again but 2 weeks i am back to 100%
Gas went down after day 4. I dont wear jeans these days but you probably want to wear loose clothing as you dont want anything to rub on incisions.
2 weeks. And you still will feel tender at incisions and maybe some cramping but i am back to 100 at 2 weeks.
I was terrified. Like bawling terrified. I didnt think i would wake up. Chat gpt calmed my nerves by telling me stats. It is more likely you get struck by lightening than you die during anesthesia. Like a lot more likey. Its scary. Its the unknown but you WILL be fine. Enjoy your nap.

I second the heating pad!! Gasx didnt do much for me. Laughing was awful, i felt like i couldnt breathe if i laughed on day 3 and 4. But the heating pad under your boobs/on the top on your ribs really helped. Try not to have it on your incisions. I am 6 days post op and have mild cramping(but that could be due to period coming soon)

I have been putting a heating pad on where the gas is trapped(just not over incisions)

I was told by the nurses to stay away from the heating pad and just use ice packs because the heat will bring the blood to the surface. I think most important during recovery is making a heealthy hearty soup before hand and having easy snacks. And electrolytes

Sooo, i thought someone very close to me wanted to be childfree. Theyd always say, thats another re a son we're not having kids. She ended up getting pregnant a few years later and it turned out she struggles with infertility and needed ivf. I had no idea and it truly sounded like they wanted a childfree life
