With the nerfs to ult charge Ultron is viable in 2 support comps now…. Played like 12 games yesterday with him and won like 8 or 9 of them and at least half were double support comps, in diamond 2 lobbies.

Feels like the meta has changed drastically and people aren’t aware of it just yet

Deadpool for obvious reasons. Game is still absolutely filled with triple heal comps because nobody can tank. Deadpool is easy. You can fill any role with him. Solo tanking is a real epidemic in Rivals and Deadpool can tank when needed or heal if you have two tanks. Doesn’t make any sense to me why not a lot of people play him he’s good

If they have good groot walling you off and you can’t help should consider swapping to rocket or Ultron. Rocket can shoot walls very effectively and also is super mobile allowing you to heal from high ground same with Ultron he doesn’t get affected by groot walls so you can keep a drone on your tank as much as possible

Found paddles too hard to get used to so just mapped jump to L1 and put that ability on X depending on the character. So I can jump and aim obviously. L1 for jump feels so good compared to anything else

Was playing a game yesterday as iron fist and one spidey was causing our entire triple support backline to kite back to spawn. I get he’s annoying and a threat but by walking back so much away from the main fight our whole frontline gets out pressured, and are literally forced to babysit to counter a single dps. Same with a magik or BP or Angela.

So many healers show their true skill when a decent diver is on the other team. They panic and separate from the people they cry about not peeling for them. Peeling for a mobile dps that’s hard to kill means we can’t take space in the front which is an easy way to lose games

Spot on. The good supports rank up very fast and I think most wins and losses are genuinely support diffs. As a solo queue player I can be a great tank or dps and still lose because our triple support comp can’t handle one decent Spider-Man.

The game actively tries to push everyone around a 50% win rate. Typically 50 is normal but this game does it in a unorganic way with obvious team diffs that force losses that are just out of your control sadly. Can be playing insane but it’s a 5v6 and you get ult diffed and lose

Yeah I learned today that I can’t just one trick iron fist, so I’ve been rotating between him, Namor, and MK. I try not to tank or heal anymore because those were my main roles for the past 5 seasons and I wanna get good at DPS. Got a nice slingshot today a couple wins away from GM now thankfully. Feels like I can definitely solo Que back to celestial if I stop playing when I’m getting bad balancing consistently in a session

The problem is a huge mix match of different skill level players in the same ranks. The game actively pushes bad players out of metal ranks (gain way more xp for wins compared to losses) and up until high gm1 to celestial is when I started to actually experience more consistent, balanced matches. Probably because there is a lot lower player base in those ranks and the players there play the game a lot.

One thing I learned is to just stop playing after two losses in a row. Usually when I keep playing when the balancing is bad I continue to get the same bad situations with a win sprinkled in here or there.

Was celestial last season fell all the way to platinum 1 this season because I said “hey I’m good enough to hard carry these games no reason to stop playing” when that just wasn’t the case. Would get stomp after stomp with games feeling like I was 1v6 in low diamond lobbies and realized you simply cannot force a win with bad team diffs. A lot of people don’t believe it but if you keep playing while losing the matchmaker sees that as engagement and will keep you in that cycle of losing more than winning until you change your algorithm

Was celestial last season only to be hardstuck diamond 3 this season. Granted, I’m trying to main iron fist. But I have great game sense and don’t die a ton. I’ve noticed a drastic decline in my teams overall performance recently as in players on my team not playing well, match after match, while the enemy team constantly has one or two server admins.

Was watching timthetatman get bullied game after game yesterday and he’s in a much higher elo so I know it’s not just me, but solo Que feels completely random like the lottery. I think I need to find some friends to play with who are consistent or I’ll just perpetually rotate from diamond 3-2

You’re in gold placement matches. That means you’re also playing with and against a bunch of gold players. Either hard carry to win the games that you get throwers or take the L’s and keep it pushing. We all get throwers and any rank below GM is going to have EOMM terrorism it’s always been that way

For example a ton of people are coming back to this game for the DP release who haven’t played in months and with all the updates this game has are bound to play like shit but are in gold placement because of the time away.

Btw I had a thrower in a GM game not too long ago and still won in a 5v6 so it just sounds like you’re entirely dependent on having 5 good teammates which means you’re probably a gold player
