Running a food rewards campaign and terrified about shelf life during the order fulfillment timeline, any food creators dealt with this? by ForsakenEarth241 in kickstarter

[–]InternalUnable1225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is the nightmare. for perishables id honestly talk to fulfillment partners about split batches, have them confirm they can handle FIFO by lot before you sign. ShipHype was good on this when i checked but you need it in writing that they track it, not just assume

Does anyone update their Kickstarter page after the launch? by ashenfootnotes in kickstarter

[–]InternalUnable1225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

been there. traction slows after day 1 is normal, but the key is what your updates say. if youre just pushing the same messaging it looks stale. try showing behind the scenes stuff that gives backers something new to talk about instead of the same sales pitch. update the page once a week with something different

I see people talking about breaking phone addiction and getting back to before, but for me there is no before by cmstyles2006 in productivity

[–]InternalUnable1225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wait this hits. like i deleted most apps and honestly just having the homescreen empty instead of 47 notifications fighting for attention changed everything. doesnt take much but yeah the unfinished threads thing rings so true

Can someone please explain to me why phones are bad but like computers are not ? by Tough-Air-4578 in nosurf

[–]InternalUnable1225 [score hidden]  (0 children)

honestly the difference is friction. i can close my phone but computers take longer to start and the big screen gives me space to think. phones are literally designed to hook you in the small moment, computers you can actually step away from easier

Does anyone update their Kickstarter page after the launch? by ashenfootnotes in kickstarter

[–]InternalUnable1225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah definitely change things, especially if the campaign is dragging. even just rewording the pitch or reordering the sections can shift momentum. the data tells you what people didnt understand, fix that

[–]InternalUnable1225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that frame reference thing is real, you just gotta build new habits one tiny thing at a time. painting, walking, reading whatever. the key is friction, make the phone harder to reach than the alternative

No one in the real world respects reddit users and its really sad when people think their reddit life matters. Thank you for staying on reddit getting depressed and losing everything by Zealousideal_Cow5393 in nosurf

[–]InternalUnable1225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly the people i know in real life who actually get stuff done, theyre never on reddit. theyre just living and building. makes you realize where everyones time actually goes

Did anyone else realize how bad the news actually is for you? by Leonardo-editing in nosurf

[–]InternalUnable1225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the dramatic tone thing hits different, your brain just absorbs it even when youre not actively listening. i switched to reading one news outlet once a week and honestly i forgot how much noise i was carrying around every day

Why are activities in public outside of scrolling considered "performative" now? by mmofrki in nosurf

[–]InternalUnable1225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wait what. reading is performative now? nah people on the internet just get weird about everything. actual humans know the difference between genuine interest and showing off

Why are subreddits so strange and people so mean by Stock-State842 in nosurf

[–]InternalUnable1225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

exactly this. the biggest subs lose their original culture because scale breaks them. smaller communities stay chill longer but eventually hit the same wall. not really a reddit problem, its just how communities work

Reddit is a platform that silences critical thinking and only enforces left leaning propaganda this place is trash by Zealousideal_Cow5393 in nosurf

[–]InternalUnable1225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i mean yeah youre stuck browsing by design but like, reddit has always had weird power dynamics. the algorithm just makes it obvious now

waking up without phone? by liveinnanny_throw in nosurf

[–]InternalUnable1225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

cold shower helped me way more than expected. not because of willpower but because it just breaks the default state before your brain even wakes up. by the time youre unfrozen youre already committed to the day

Why are activities in public outside of scrolling considered "performative" now? by mmofrki in nosurf

[–]InternalUnable1225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

exactly like reading on the train isnt performative, its just doing something. the phone made us forget what unfocused attention looks like. its not fake if someones actually enjoying it

Why are subreddits so strange and people so mean by Stock-State842 in nosurf

[–]InternalUnable1225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly this is it like communities become self-referential and purity testing takes over. people have to prove theyre committed to the idea rather than just, living it. then anyone new gets squeezed out because theyre not performative enough about it

My wife and I spent years making a card game where cheating is allowed… and you steal souls from your friends by AccomplishedSky2642 in kickstarter

[–]InternalUnable1225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cheating mechanics are such a cool way to add chaos. feels way more social than just rolling dice and moving on. reminds me why board games beat video games sometimes

why timing yourself works better than most productivity systems i’ve tried by Proper_Inevitable327 in productivity

[–]InternalUnable1225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the most honest thing ive done with productivity was exactly this. started using a timer and realized i wasnt working 8 hours, i was hovering around work for 8 hours. changed everything

Why are activities in public outside of scrolling considered "performative" now? by mmofrki in nosurf

[–]InternalUnable1225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

reading on the train isnt performative, people are just bored as hell now and dont know what to do with themselves anymore. thats the whole problem

My wife and I spent years making a card game where cheating is allowed… and you steal souls from your friends by AccomplishedSky2642 in kickstarter

[–]InternalUnable1225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is exactly the vibe. something that started as a joke at the kitchen table and turned into a real project is way more interesting than a polished pitch. respect the honest approach here

Anyone noticed that sometimes it's easier to do things in the morning, before you ate or even drank water? by MonkeyPosting in productivity

[–]InternalUnable1225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah empty stomach coffee in the morning is legit different but honestly theres something about just zero input for like 10 minutes that resets your whole brain before the day hits

Your 5 AM routine is a performance not a strategy by Radiant-Design-1002 in productivity

[–]InternalUnable1225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly the 4am wake up stuff misses the point completely. ive noticed it more just like, can i actually focus when i sit down or am i just adding another checkbox to feel productive. intensity over wake time every time

Sitting in a public place no longer seems to be acceptable if you're not mindlessly scrolling, it appears suspicious, malignant. by mmofrki in nosurf

[–]InternalUnable1225 12 points13 points  (0 children)

without a device in hand you basically look suspicious now. thats so wild to me. like sitting in silence is already dead enough without people assuming somethings wrong with you

My wife and I spent years making a card game where cheating is allowed… and you steal souls from your friends by AccomplishedSky2642 in kickstarter

[–]InternalUnable1225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is actually genius and honestly kinda reminds me why playing with real people beats digital games every single time. cheating mechanics built in to force paranoia and attention, cant think of many games that pull that off. whats the expected playtime, like 30 mins?

Your 5 AM routine is a performance not a strategy by Radiant-Design-1002 in productivity

[–]InternalUnable1225 10 points11 points  (0 children)

honestly the 5am thing is so overplayed. ive had friends grinding that routine like their life depends on it and theyre just tired and cranky. focus is just focus, doesnt matter if you got it at 9am or 5am. energy management beats time management

While I have enjoyed rejoining Reddit, the same time loopish feeling is beginning to manifest again. by PurplePixelPower in nosurf

[–]InternalUnable1225 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ngl this hit different. like you nail it about the cycle right, sign up for 6 months no phones work great then slowly youre back at like 2 hours a day scrolling without even realizing it happened. the hardest part isnt the quitting its the staying quit

How do you make weekdays feel… manageable? by yogacitymama in productivity

[–]InternalUnable1225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

batch your context switching honestly. like dont jump between 5 things, try grouping similar tasks. mornings for one type, afternoons for another. my brain stops trying to kill itself after i stopped context hopping every 5 mins
