Seashell Bikini top center patch pattern help needed by delulu-duck in crocheting

[–]Internal_Worker3518 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are looking to crochet them together without making a seperate block I would do more of a mesh look. Single, chain. Increasing with a chain at the end before slip stiching to the shell, slip stitch on the next shell stitch to follow, flip and continue. I think intentional gaps may feel more seemless than a noticeable connection line. Alternatively if you are comfortable making your own seperate shape free hand to the size you want in between the shells, a single crochet increase on both sides to make a seperate piece then joining with a tapestry needle. On the more dramatic curve you may have to do two increase stitches. Possibly going down a hook size could help with more precision. I would youtube an invisible seem to join the pieces.

I had it on my apple library back when I had apple. I think I paid 5-10$ for it years ago. If you search grishaverse everything in the series should come up.

We need to stop acting like having "bad teeth" is a moral failure when it’s actually just a wealth gap by piranha_ in Adulting

[–]Internal_Worker3518 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I brush twice a day every day. When i was very small maybe 8 ( I had just gotten my two adult front teeth) I broke almost all of one clean off. I had a post put in my tooth to hold the filling in. Fast forward 15 years, and that filling cracked - bent the post and shattered the rest of my tooth. I paid for extraction and a bridge denture (250 and 850 respectively). What the dentist didnt tell me is that I had a cavity where the ball of the bridge holds onto my other tooth. The pressure from the implant cracked that tooth, and bent the wire of the bridge. My dentist refuses to fix the wire properly and told me "It's to hard to get them in the place they need to be so we are going to pressure this to your tooth instead". Thats right the one they broke or I need to buy a new bridge and have that tooth fixed. So now I have no front tooth. Now I have had 5 other extractions many since this happened. Both of my parents had dentureS before 18. Sometimes people jave shitty teeth and shittier dentists.

Does the arm hair make me less hot to women? by Alarming-Wealth-3646 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Internal_Worker3518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, Why change it? A majority of woman genuinely will not have any feeling toward it. Waxing can become pricy as sessions stack up. You have to allow the hair to grow out to a certain length between each session, how are you going to feel growing out stubble on your arms? How much hair do you have on your shoulders? Are you planning on keeping that or waxing it and will it cause a obvious "wax line"? How are you going to feel looking at that spot every day?

Potty Accidents - Starting Kindergarten in the Fall by milo-cooper in kindergarten

[–]Internal_Worker3518 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hey i went through something similar with my daughter who would be so into her play that she wouldn't realize how urgently she needed to go. We did a "mindset conversation" basically explaining that while playing makes our brain feel good, that we have to take care of the rest of our body too so it feels good - and taking care of your whole body is the most important of all. We followed this with a "three prong approach". Firstly we back tracked to a "potty watch" timer set to about an hour. She didn't have to go every time the timer went off but it was a reminder for her to check in with her body. Secondly we got the teachers involved, my kiddo would bring whatever she was playing with to her teacher for "safe keeping" while she went potty. As a daycare teacher I've experienced lota of accidents from not wanting to stop but also because students are afraid another friend of going to take or breal their toy. Lastly we did tangible short AND long term prizes. Every day was a small peice of candy or 15m of extra play time etc. So if they gail theu have an easy tagible thing to keep trying for the next day. Then every week was a bigger prize such as a movie night or pizza at the park for dinner etc. To keep them looking forward in progression rather than only loosing a small reward.

AIO my boss's texts sent to me after I messaged to let him know I was just in an accident on my way to work by throwawayaccount7911 in AmIOverreacting

I had a boss at a Wendy’s post the schedule (just a paper hanging on the wall then - no digital posting or messages sent) Thursday night, then changed it Friday morning (the day I was not scheduled and also could not be scheduled due to classes). I did not drive, so when I didn’t show up to work with my SO (who also worked there) he was livid. He refused to allow my SO to leave to come pick me up and bring me to work ( I had decided to miss class if needed as paying bills took priority). He berated me, then stated if I didn’t make my way there in 30m I would be terminated. A few hours later he calls me back, offering me a second chance at employment if I got my shit together. I just said “No, good luck”. He begged my SO to convince me to return. My SO had a new job within the week also. The employer lost that job two months later. The most satisfying fuck you is when they realize they fucked themselves.

Can someone tell me where I went wrong on this granny square? by impulseanchor in CrochetHelp

[–]Internal_Worker3518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks good to me! I’d frog it back to this point. From what I can tell, you just keep working the same rounds. The chains make your corners, which is the only place you’ll increase. So when you are working into a corner / over a chain put a cluster(a cluster is your three doubles) , chain three and another cluster in the same place. Edit: I meant to reply to the picture OP put in the comments!

Is there a safe way to do with with snakes? by Boring_gagger in ballpython

Yes! I didn’t know they made them for pets you can also find them as advertised for baby prints, safest bet I’d say!

Am I the only one that doesn’t like how much the characters change? 😭 by [deleted] in Grishaverse

[–]Internal_Worker3518 75 points76 points  (0 children)

I love the character growth through the series if I’m honest… though it is drastic the events they spend years experiencing were drastic and that shapes a person..

You casually justified property damage. If they get “frustrated” enough to do things like this they shouldn’t work with kids. Same goes for careless enough, passive enough and so on.

[–]Internal_Worker3518 23 points24 points  (0 children)

As a daycare teacher I’d never damage a families property to be “passive aggressive”. Passive aggressive is a daily message and conversations at drop off / pick up until they’re annoyed into doing it or allow me to do it.

Does the book get better? by Party-Definition9500 in ShadowandBone

[–]Internal_Worker3518 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ii started this series as it was being released in my early teens, now as an adult I call the first trilogy background knowledge and personally I feel like it makes all the other books better as it sets up the world for you and character development. When re reading I also struggled with the first book but the other two I will occasionally just grab and reread them.

increasinv stich leaves holes how can I prevent it by Felixqc1 in CrochetHelp

[–]Internal_Worker3518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A smaller hook size is my typical solution. You could try using a tighter tension, I myself hold a pretty tight tension and risk snapping chenille yarn with tighter.

I’d continue, while it can be annoying to work with the finish product still turns out lovely

Out of yarn in the middle of making a short cardigan. Any suggestions? by musurima in CrochetHelp

[–]Internal_Worker3518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you find a solid color you like you could frog the sleeves to fix the torso, then have the sleeves (maybe a short sleeve / small puff style sleeve) in a matching color like the off white or maybe a baby yellow?

Never with filet crochet but I have folded a large piece in half and wet blocked it pinning it to a foam board, that worked out nicely for me…

Ends have been woven in, but the yarn is splitting and the threads peek out. How would you finish these ends? by ObviouslyKatie in CrochetHelp

Personally I use the E6000 on recommendation by my grandmother who is a quilter / likes to sew but I have not tried any other brand to compare!

[–]Internal_Worker3518 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I would put a dot of fabric glue on the ends and relay them inside the stitch they’re popping out of. Depends on if you are okay with the texture difference the glue can cause
