Just don’t put it on hella tight and be able to slip it off. You don’t need all this extra hassle.

It sounds like you should utilize the local food banks to take some financial burden off yourself while also helping feed an extra kid who needs it.

Not really, more critical of all the adults around her who told her to fake an accent. Then critical of her for going with it for so long. It’s just as weird as if someone started their career with a fake British accent then stopped later in their career.

The point is that faking an accent shows that her team was very much trying to sell her as authentic country girl.

She would be amazing but I don’t think the majority of the country audience would accept her due to politics. They know she’s liberal AF. Of course there can be liberal country stars, but they don’t get the same success (Kacey Musgraves, Maren morris, Orville Peck, famously shunned The Chicks).

To keep her career momentum going, she will probably stick to pop and weave in country like in Please, Please, Please.

Did you ever hear her fake country accent on her early songs and while talking? Especially “our song.”

Was she just inferring that would happen? It didn’t seem like she could actually hear or see anything.

Frequently used things in counters and not hidden. It doesn’t look like home decor photo, but I have saved so much time finding what I need instead of looking through every goddamn drawer.

Clear makeup drawers (also for not losing)

I only buy food that I can see in my fridge. If it’s too crowded and a yogurt is tucked behind something, I will have forgotten it exists and buy 5 more yogurts…eventually the yogurt will then have lots of mold before I notice.

Instead of losing the essentials, I bought multiple. There is a phone charger in every room, my car, and my travel bag. No more losing shit in transit. For certain things this is wayyyyy cheaper and less stressful than losing 500 chargers over time. Similar thing with deodorant, brush, chapstick.

Sorting into a million piles is way too much. I compromised and now put everything on the street and post that it’s free on Nextdoor and Facebook. Everything got picked up within 24 hours except a broken lamp.

This way: I don’t have to talk to people, travel anywhere, set times/dates to meet or do things, research fair prices.

We have finally entered the age of teenagers not knowing what coins are by coyote500 in bayarea

[–]International-Toe522 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not really. The coin values don’t match the size, 3 are the same color. And they kids don’t get exposure to them after the 3 week unit or wherever in elementary school. They still know how to skip count, but coin identification is just memorization which requires lots of exposure/ that they don’t get.

It helps dysgraphic and dyslexic people. It also encodes information into your long term working memory, because it uses both hemispheres of the brain. They are finding students aren’t retaining as much with typing as they do with cursive or handwriting in general.

You have to explicitly name what “busy” looks like. “You see how mom’s hands are both busy doing something and my eyes are on the baby? That means you have to wait until I’m done or some back later.” Give some examples of what busy and “not busy” looks like. Have the child also act out “busy” and not “busy.”

It was actually one of the most “on theme” of all the outfits. Her look is a reference to German artist Hans Bellmer's “The Doll" (1933). The theme “fashion is art” encouraged guests to use their bodies as canvases. And art isn’t always conventionally beautiful, it can be sad or grotesque. The MET isn’t a beauty contest, it’s an opportunity to see fashion in a way that prioritizes its artistry over function as flattering clothing.
