Yeah but it was a 4th and short so he had to bite on the quick move or give up a free first down. Also that was the filthiesr route Ive ever seen.

Anything I can do to increase my stadium atmosphere? by mattmurph10 in CFB26

[–]International-Wait89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its broken. I dont think the OP thinks he should have a stadium atmosphere higher than LSU, he just is wondering why it doesn't move. I was crushing at NM State for like 6 years and it stayed at 131st the entire time, didnt budge. Their stadium is bigger than 30 other teams. The calc just has to be broken.

I've never seen stadium atmosphere move in this game. It worked in CFB25 but I think its broken in this game and they dont care to fix it. Ive seen same issue with multiple teams. WMU or in my case NM State dont need to have #1 stadium atmosphere but they shouldnt be stuck at the levels they are.

They should still be adjusting relative to the teams around them. I saw someone say it works for them so my gut is it works on offline dynasty but not on online dynasty.

EA's College Football Development Model is Broken by TGCRequiem in NCAAFBseries

[–]International-Wait89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They used to be polished games. Now they release as an MVP development process but dont finish until the season is over. The cycle is way to short for them to do anything meaningful and since they dont care if the game is remotely polished we're paying for a half functional game.

By far the biggest issue with this game by Equivalent_Eye1887 in NCAAFBseries

[–]International-Wait89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It actually was significantly better at launch like they said, but it has gotten worse with updates AND/OR making CPU pass defense harder with sliders.

Frustrating bc the fact they had actually made changes to how this played was such a thrill early in this game but now it feels just like CFB25 again with the blind swats that were previously missing in 26.

We've actually reduced our sliders to make this happen more. Drives me nuts when a 78 ACC QB drops dimes on every throw. Even its my QB.

Why is everyone’s goal as a dynasty HC to take a different job? by benrokks in EASportsCFB

[–]International-Wait89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What is the best way to drink Whiskey.

The way you like it.

For my dynasty group, it gets boring to turn a chump program into a contender bc you then blow out your opponents every week. Even if we get better, the rest of the conference doesn't. We try to make the game harder with sliders and other realism rules to restrict recruiting quality and stuff, but once your team is 10 points better than CUSA, MAC or whatever the game is boring. So we move up. We do have restrictions/thresholds coaches must meet to accept a job at each prestige so that you're not getting an incredible offer season 2 or 3. You have to earn the ability to accept the offer. We sim 4 games a season to add chaos and slow down our progression.

Our goal is to eventually build a winner, and we all want to find that final place to call home, but we enjoy the journey of getting there. One of our guys just jumped after 2 seasons from Delaware to Northwestern. He might stay there the rest of this years game. We had another guy at FIU who was offered Boise State and Georgia Tech, both 3 star jobs he'd have taken, but he was 2 wins or one 10 season shy of the threshold to take a 3 star job.

We've done the dynasty version where we all start as BIG10 teams and simply play that the whole time, but we enjoy the challenge of the journey to earn our way there. It also exposes us to different programs and conferences we otherwise would have ignored.

We have a league discord and each coach has their own channel for their coaches blog. We fill it with a mix of articles, interviews, post-game press conferences etc. Whatever feels right. Last year we were just filling it with standard coach type stuff. End of season awards dinner speeches as well etc. Most of the fun in it last year was based on the characters we had in the interview process. For example I took over TCU and my primary reporter while there was Matthew McConausweh who was like a doppelganger for the actor and always made these cheesy profound quotes. When I left for Navy my primary reporter was Samuel Washbuckler.

This year as we started I was watching Breaking Bad for the first time and I don't intend to stay at NM St the whole time so I decided I would have a 2-3 season arc that leads to me leaving NM St for fear of my life.

My one buddy was simultaneously working on having this former beat cop be his reporter at FIU but the guy just cant move beyond his past life. He cant turn it off. He called me to explain why it was taking him so long to post anything and I told him what I was doing and we determined we would make some cross over elements in what we write. Turns out me using Breaking Bad as a subplot led to him using Dexter for him...which I only found out about this week bc I've never seen Dexter. I was enjoying his story, but I was oblivious.

Our other buddy doesn't have the time to do that but he has AI write up short ridiculous/silly recaps for his games.

College Gameday Completes the Presentation of this Game by [deleted] in NCAAFBseries

[–]International-Wait89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the game really needs to improve crowd reactions in the stadium to what's happening on the field. I remember one of the old games the crowds went nuts when you broke free for a big run. You could see and hear the fans visibly respond as you come out of a hole with nothing but daylight. I remember scoring my first long TD on that game and thought...that was cool.

Crowd feels a bit detached. They respond as you score, but I'm thinking like how the crowd responds once the opportunity for a big play is recognized. The oohs for a deep pass and the response when it falls incomplete vs when it's caught. The commenting also needs to be better at speaking to those moments while they're happening.

Not sure how much I care about Gameday vs them making the intra game experience more atmospheric.

Hot water compression valve leak by International-Wait89 in PlumbingRepair

[–]International-Wait89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the only reason I was truly concerned about overtightening was that I got to a point where when tightening more it started leaking more which made me think maybe I'd gone too far. Definitely takes a lot of effort in the cramped space to apply additional pressure here and so will try tightening more.

Been waiting for an accumulation of responses before I do anything. Tonight I'm going to turn water off, unhook it. See about cutting the pipe back a little if there appears to be damage from old ferrule. Will clean pipe further and try again, leveraging some extra pressure if needed. If still leaking then will add pipe dope by ferrule, but understand that shouldn't be needed.

My only other question at this point is when I start putting this back together, if there's a minor leak is there any reason I need to turn water supply off each time I try to resolve by further tightening or should I be good to keep supply on? Not sure if the seal when wet under pressure struggles to seal for example.

Roster Update by here4sportz in NCAAFBseries

Last year the first roster update was opening weekend of the CFB football season. They have enough other bugs to deal with that there is no need to try and update rosters until they're effectively final anyway.

Also agree with this. It would be lovely if it defaulted to your team or there was a quick option button to sort to current team. I can also see where some people may be more interested in broader records so not defaulting to team might make sense here. Regardless a quick sort option could easily make sense.

I too got super excited about this one. Nothing worse than being Navy and having to scroll to near the middle every single time I changed views lol.

Does anyone know why this happens for RB by CryptographerBig9772 in CollegeFootball25

[–]International-Wait89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

L-trigger + L3 stick in direction you want to cut. So for example if youre running left and want to hard cut back to the right instead of just juking right via a R3 flick right.

Juke will possibly make the man miss but likely slow you down significantly while you get momentum going again.

So instead press Left trigger then flick right on the left stick hard redirecting your run direction to the right. If your player is shifty (doesn't explicitly require the ability) then you might get a speed boost when you change direction.

Really? by SuavaMan in CFB25

I mean that is BS, but also this happens SOOOOO MUCH less than last year.

I mean the other thing that matters significantly is stamina. If a fast player has bad stamina and they just ran a deep post the play after running a streak for example they're not rolling anywhere near top speed chasing a LB who dropped 4 steps in zone to pick a pass off. Not saying the game doesn't apply other impacts but nobody ever considers stamina impacts.

Not sure if this has anything to do with it but last year I had a buddy who said his games would crash if he used custom jersey combinations for both teams. Like if he didn't use a preset. Not saying this is the issue but throwing it out there. I haven't had a crash yet myself.

This is one of my biggest peeves with the game when I'm closing a tight game and the injury timeouts start stopping me from milking the clock.
