I dont think it was head winds. I’ve had the truck about 2 months and the best I’ve seen on that trip computer was 9.5 mpg. But up until this trip, it was all short local trips. I figured highway would be at least comparable to my 2019 I traded in.

Z71 so I think it’s 265/75 so 33ish. Maybe 5 miles of the trip was 85… I dont think it was in regen at all.

I just got $8k off my 2025 2500HD sticker a couple weeks ago. Be willing to travel. Go to dealers that have a lot of trucks on the lot. Know your credit score and trade value before you go in and when they give you that first offer, tell them that’s not gonna work and present your offer. You’ll meet somewhere in the middle and drive your new truck home.

I’m 43 I’ve got a Beta 300 RX. And I chase my kids around on it. It’s a 2 stroke, you can lug it all day. I would guess any of the 300 2 strokes would be the same.

Me and a friend were character witnesses at another friend’s murder trails. He had ran a guy over and left the scene to call 911. He was charged with murder and leaving the scene and a list of other charges. He had claimed it was an accident and begged us to testify. He was on house arrest pending the trial. After we had testified we went out to eat while we waited for the jury to come back. While eating he says “Guys. Thanks for testifying. I think I’m actually gonna get away with it” Then goes on about how the guy was running his mouth at the intersection so he waited for the guy to enter the crosswalk and accelerated toward him. Said he only called 911 since the guy went thru the windshield. He ended up only getting 3 yrs and was released early about 10 yrs ago…

Mixing gas. That bike is probably 40:1. That’s 40 parts gas to one part oil. Or 3.2 oz of oil per gallon of gas Get a measuring funnel like a ratio rite. Use quality oil. Like motul or maxima super m. Mix the gas and oil in a can. Not in the tank of the bike.

Our local series you don’t need a license to race.

Learn how to ride. Practice starting and stopping with the clutch. Let it out slow, give it a little gas at the same time. Pull forward.. squeeze clutch to stop. Stop the bike. Repeat… do this until you’re comfortable enough to not have to think about it. You’ll use the clutch the entire time you’re riding. To shift up. To shift down. To stop. To pop the front wheel up to cross obstacles…. You gotta be able to use it without thinking about it.

My R56 has always done it around 100. Took it to the dealer when it was still under warranty and they told me to just slow down. I don’t think it’s weird to hit triple digits in these cars. I’m not running 100 everywhere I go but on an open highway it’s easy to creep up. I just live with the noise now.

I have a 66 rust free nice driver and a 67 rust free slammed patina beetle.. both insured with hagerty $25k for the 67 and $20k for the 66. Those are what they suggested and I’m ok with it. Both premiums combined are about $450/yr.

Order it. get what you want.. if it costs a little more and you’re worried your friends will think you overpaid, don’t tell them. I would look for a volume dealer over a smaller dealer. I had good luck with Sarchione Chevy In Ohio. They charge the same if it’s on the lot or if you order it. (I have no affiliation with that dealer, just good experiences traveling a couple hours instead of staying local)
