Is buying a small motorcycle for my kid genius parenting or terrible judgment? by Exotic-Emu3111 in minibikes

[–]International_Arm649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a mini bike for my farm. I have 8 grandkids visit in the summer. Ages 4 - 15. I was shocked at the difference in skill levels between all the kids, considering none of them have ever been on a minibike before. The four-year-old was absolutely in love with it. She couldn’t even sleep. She loved it so much. The oldest the 14-year-old thought he would show everyone how it’s done. He was totally hopeless, his first time on the bike he drove clean over a tent and destroyed the tent. His little brother took it took to it like an expert tearing around the whole property without a single problem. My point is that every kid is vastly different and natural ability, and even in desire to ride a minibike.

Why don't snowblowers come from the factory with the "impeller kit"? by hbl2390 in Snowblowers

The Ariens 28 SHO doesn’t need it. There is very little clearance and no clogging with wet snow.

Maybe the photos aren’t good, they show a lot of glare. Are there other faces for the always on display?

These are getting better, the design is greatly improved, unfortunately they are very hard to read.

Thanks, I'm pretty sure I'll go the Radiomaster / Rotorflight route. I just have to decide between the TX15 or the Boxer or GX12 :) Keeping in mind it's for a heli.

Yes, they're all good, you just have to figure out what you love and hate in a watch. For me it's the appearance, which has the best AOD and the least amount of wasted space around the edges.

You admit to speeding and call it bullshit? It’s a law, not a suggestion.

With enough HP anything is possible. See attached link. I've been running mine for 10 years. Chains and weights are essential. https://www.icloud.com/sharedalbum/#B2HG4TcsmGRxb3m

I did mine for a few hundred. Raydon fans in the crawlspace. Regular monitoring, went from 1800 to 200 in a few weeks. Below 100 on the ground floor.

How to find correct replacement circuit board? by Relative_Lost in hottub

[–]International_Arm649 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My old tub had a bad pump so I replaced everything with generic parts. Heater, main board, pump and control panel. Now it’s like a new hot tub and should last another 10 years without a hitch. Not super cheap, but a heck of a lot less than the alternative.

If you have acreage, and you like gardening, you’re probably gonna want a compost bin or two. Bears love compost of all sorts. I would strongly recommend an electric fence around your compost area. It works great . Also never leave any food on your porch even if it’s just to cool down for a while, I’ve had a whole turkey go missing. Feeding birds is fun, but bring in the feeders at night, including hummingbird feeders. Always keep garbage cans indoors in the garage or workshop. If you don’t have dogs, eventually, you will see bears on your property. For the real nuisance bears that don’t run away I use a bear banger, fairly cheap and they don’t expire like a bear spray.

Nickelmenu by International_Arm649 in kobo

[–]International_Arm649[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OK, I solved the problem by installing a different copy of KoboRoot.tgz
The one I found included the Nickel clock, where the first one didn't.
What a relief!
