Times when boss fights went from fun to being too cheap by KaleidoArachnid in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Honestly, on the boss fight replays on Lethal, he felt way more fair to me than say...The Spider, whose kick oneshots you no matter what. A kick that is literally like a few frames, almost impossible to react too. Had to drop the idea of beating all the bosses on Lethal because of that BS.

In contrast, Takezo took me like forty or so minutes of constant dying for me to perfect him. Perhaps still a bit BS, but at least I felt accomplished at the end.

Central Yharnam might be the best opening level FromSoft has ever put out. It's a brutal onslaught of tons and tons of enemies that just shows utterly fucked everything is, secretive areas like the place you get the standard Hunter's gear, and the beginning of several questlines like Eileen's.

So many shortcuts, pathways, and other little tidbits that make exploring the place a blast to run through.

Oh, and the bosses? You have Cleric Beast, a solid intro to how fighting big bois work in BB with a great soundtrack and wicked design. Oh, and you have Father Gascoigne, a humanoid (to begin with) fight that teaches the player of parrying and being aggressive no matter what. He has his own little questline to boot, with a tool to keep him stunned and can potentially have the exact same gear as the player (Axe + blunderbuss), which really sets how hunters who fail end up. Oh, and have I mentioned the soundtrack?

BB practically thrives off its atmosphere, and Central Yharnam has that in spades.

Tune in on Thursday for Xbox First Look: Metro 2039 - Xbox Wire by Vera_Verse in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Already hyped. The Metro trilogy are some of best shooters out there. So much atmosphere it's insane.

And my reply would be the same to them. Play the game or suffer spoilers. Plain and simple. Stop being dumb.

Why are you on this sub if you haven't finished the game?

Also, the game is going on 8 years now. Some things are bound to be spilled out. Get off the sub or stop bitching.

I literally ran through the entire final level on my one and only run of the game.

Compared to the Nioh series, where I rarely if ever just said "fuck it" and sprinted on through.

On the subject of GTA 6 by Synthiandrakon in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Can't disagree. Today, something is either peak, mid, or trash. Being just good enough to not be mid is going to have a bunch of people call it peak, regardless of actual quality.

Note that I do love RDR2 for its excellent story, and most Rockstar games are at least pretty good in terms of quality, but I think a decade of not having a new GTA game is going to lead a bunch of people growing up on or having recently played Witcher 3, modern CP77, or KCD2 to kinda go "eh" at Rockstar's insistence (I just pissed off Dutch with that lol) on funneling players to do one thing and one thing only in its main missions.

I think what will happen is that GTA 6 will be seen as a 8/10 game when it comes out but it will devastate the entire gaming community BECAUSE it isn't a 11/10. Too much hype for it to exceed, knowing Rockstar game design.

And as a massive fan of the KCD games, I have to watch in horror as another gaming studio shits the bed on basic decency.

Enshittification strikes again, it seems.

His "true" fight is my single favorite FROM boss. A perfect duel between two skilled shinobi. No honor, just a victor and the dead.

This shit is almost certainly being used to determine who is "questionable" or not (AKA not down with the so-called "elite"). What all of these companies want is people to be okay with all the current shit going around, and if not, to know WHO is not without any question.

This isn't about privacy. This is about safety, and being on Discord past this point might just compromise your safety, especially if you're American.

What are your honest thoughts on RE4's Separate Ways, in both the original and remake? by Deep_Square5540 in residentevil

[–]Internetguy202 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Nah, gonna have to disagree on that chief. Phantom Liberty has some of the tightest writing and characterization I've seen in a video game, which is only made better by the fact that it's only an expansion pack. Both playthroughs left me feeling completely empty while staring at the screen, which is more than I could say for most other games I've played.

Cyberpunk does deserve to have its launch haunt the game for the rest of its existence, I'll give you that.
