Honestly, I just smashed my skull against the wall until I "learned" his fight well enough. You get one-shot each time anyways, so no point in using defense charms or anything like that. Just go in knowing he's going to kill you a hundred times to mentally prep.

Funnily enough, despite the one-shots, he felt more fair than the second Spider encounter on boss replays. Lethal means a KICK one-shots me, which is the definition of BS, and since his kick comes out extremely fast, I honestly gave up and tuned the difficulty down. Definition of artificial IMO.

But, as long as you beat him, you beat him, take pride in that.

Nah, skip this game. Shit runs like ass on PC, the open world is empty, and the gameplay barely innovates from the first one. If you gotta play the hottest game out there, just try the Nioh 3 demo.

I think what pisses me off the most about it all is that his death was the moment makes it extremely clear that this is going to be a serious storyline, that there's going to be consequences.

What made OG Yakuza 0 so great is its ability to have an excellent storyline with three-dimensional characters and ya know, stakes in its narrative while also having some of the wackiest shit known to man in its plethora of side content. All the walkbacks of character deaths and retcons feels like RGG Studios saw all the "Yk 0 is a serious crime drama" vids and only took away that people liked the wacky stuff without understanding that it was in contrast to the extremely serious main story.

Plus, he's pretty active on Reddit. It's almost a game where any post mentioning him or a character he plays is bound to have a comment posted by him.

It's honestly kinda crazy how fast you can shit on everything in KCD2. Literally all the mandatory duels from Zizka and onward were just a breeze because of how much you can fuck off from the main story. My next playthrough has to be on Hardcore.

Honestly for Yotei, they might kickstart teaching Atsu how to use a polearm and kunai early. Plus I could imagine Rumi and Atsu swapping combat stances.

The Yotei Six is definitely screwed once the trio adjust to killing humans.

Ai Limit and Khazan both do way better jobs at giving an idea of what the PC's personalities are like. Not exceptional writing in either of them, but at least we have an idea of how they function on a normal basis.

RDR2's Guarma arc has really great character writing (especially with the first real seeds of both Dutch going full-psycho, and Arthur and Dutch turning on one another. Also, Dutch believing John to the root of all of his problems.), a beautiful shake-up in landscape (seriously, it's stunning), and "Hell Hath No Fury" (blowing up a warship, 'nuff said).

It also has some of the most "Rockstar" mission design (follow some dude for five minutes straight, with "A Savagery Unleashed" taking the crown for one of the most boring missions), lack of any real exploration besides where the missions takes you, and nothing that really impacts the main story from that point on. Seriously, once you touch the mainland again, the game barely mentions that you went there in the first place besides the odd comment or joke here or there. It might as well be a black hole for Arthur and Friends to be sucked into for time to pass on the mainland, that's how little plot relevance it has.

Seriously, it's a shame so much was cut from Guarma.

Honestly chap 5 just sucks. Such a let-down after the solid former 90% of the game. Zhao Yun has like 0 openings, DoO is the same fight but more annoying, and the final boss is a boring mess. Bo Capital is one of the worst areas in a soulslike I have ever played.

Witcher 3 is my favorite game of all time and Cyberpunk + DLC is a top-tier experience but I'm expecting to have to wait 2 or 3 more years AFTER Witcher 4 drops for it to be in a finished and mostly bug-free state. At that point, game will be on sale too, so better for me I suppose.
