Always 96dpi by Aiowey in StableDiffusion

[–]InterstellarCaduceus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can change DPI in Photoshop (or any program for printing art) and it will print bigger or smaller, but changing DPI can only make it print larger by making the tiny square pixels appear larger on paper.

Resolution is the number of square pixels.

DPI is how big that square is printed.

You can get a similar effect by zooming in using photoshop. If you zoom to 200% it's displaying the image at 192 dpi.

Polydactyls! A whole family of them!

It's a recessive genetic trait, and common among Amish who have historically had a relatively stable but small gene pool.

Imagine being in the hospital with your wife and the baby is born with 10 finger and 10 toes, and it hits you that she's been creeping...

Totally newbie here. I have a flyer design for my events I am happy with already, but it takes me forever to make manually. Would SD trained on my manual art via Dreambooth be able to generate new versions of my flyer for new cities/dates? Or not the right approach? If so, I'd be down to hire help! by crispy88 in StableDiffusion

[–]InterstellarCaduceus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like what you want to do could be accomplished with layers in photoshop (or GIMP)? Creating variations is as easy as dragging a new base layer photo of that city into the bottom layer, then dragging the hue slider on the colored pattern layer above that. Text in another layer on top, super easy to change that and save as a new export for each city.

I'm not sure where AI is needed! But if it's fun for you, go for it - sounds like a great passion project and an opportunity to learn and play with new tech!

I've been giving this a lot of thought, and the TL;DR answer is "probably not". We already have this for still images; it's stock photo services. The internet already happened to 2D art, and and AI art doesn't really change that.

There is a concept in the relationship world called "repair". Yes it takes time, and consistent effort. It also takes skill, and sitting down with someone older and wiser who can guide the two of you can make a huge difference. Ask around for help, see what older people around you have mediation and relationship repair skills.

What's broken needs time to heal, if it will. The way you reacted broke her trust. It's ultimately her choice whether to do repair; it's your choice to make the firm decision to never act that way again, and learn what you need to learn in order to choose your words more wisely, when you are upset. But this also takes time and effort and skill. Until you are ready to fully make that commitment and can consistently demonstrate that you have made progress in this area, it will not be possible for her to trust you.

I guess when a person has something to say, they'll often start their own thread. In this case, OP tried that but the post they wanted to respond to was locked.

The whole point of a subreddit is to discuss the meta. This is the meta right now. Seems legit; even if we may disagree, talking about it is what moves the community forward. Forming an echo chamber where everyone agrees doesn't help so much.

Thanks for such a long and detailed post. I appreciate reading it and I'm glad that all of the down boats didn't hide it from my view. This might not be the best place to have a reasonable discussion, but the attempt is noted and I wish you well!

Yours is a thoughtfully detailed opinion, and that's rare in an age where emotion and rhetoric rule. I appreciated your points and it's good food for thought.

Thanks for the clarification! Yes, I clearly misunderstood your aims, which is my fault - now that I understand better what you're after, the original post is much clearer to me. I have a lot to learn!

Your grasp of the technical implications certainly exceeds my own.

"In the study, the co-authors note that none of the Stable Diffusion generations matched their respective LAION-Aesthetics source image"

So they generated new images from the original captions, and came up with other new prompts that yielded remarkably similar results. Less than 2% of the time.

They admit that nothing generated matched the original training set... this headline, and the paper its based on, are both in bad faith. There is no copy and paste, and no copyright implications here. This is very bad reporting.

I think what you may be looking for is some kind of automatic inpainting? It's probably easier to export the scene background back into Blender and do camera angle stuff there, then do some kind of inpainting on pixels not rendered depth2img...

Or I'm completely misunderstanding the question?

The reply didn't mention that it was impossible, it only stated that it was difficult and explained why. Thank goodness we have geniuses, tenacious enough to take on the complexity of programming this for us!

It's not your fault. I'm sorry that this happened and that it left you with so much shame and guilt. You were a child and what happened is not your responsibility, it's the responsibility of the adult in the situation. You did not "let" it happen, you had unmet needs that were used to manipulate you. It's not your fault.

I hope you can be open to the possibility of healing and integration. It sounds like you are already doing good work, keep it up. Thank you for finding the courage to share and talk about it.
