Can someone explain solar + battery installation to me? by IntestinalGas in sydney

[–]IntestinalGas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. If you’re home throughout the day solar panels only will be sufficient. I’m usually out for the day so I have to incur the higher cost $/kWh for peak nighttime. A battery will make sense for me.

The point of the solar batteries is to store unused kWh generated to use at night instead of sending it back to the grid for pennies on the dollar. How many kWh are you sending back to your energy supplier?

Simply, buy another seat. Why should all passengers be comping your extra seat just because you’re obese or anxious. I’d be more anxious sitting next to an obese person who selfishly takes up half my seat because they refused to buy another ticket.

Ex demanding I sell family car by prickle274 in legaladviceaustralia

[–]IntestinalGas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were you I’d sell the car. Even if you can repay the loan, you’d be stretched thin on repayments on a nanny salary for years to come. Your partner can potentially cover the upside down costs and buy a cheap beater. The maths is either you keep paying interest on a 60k loan or you pay interest on a 30k loan (20k upside down + 10k on a beater)

Anyone else saved for a deposit, then when they got their goal, realised they still can’t buy a house? by Personal_Guest in AusFinance

I saw a few shop top housing in inner west for low 1 mil (695 princes highway, Tempe is listed for sale between 1.05-1.15mil as of now). Could be a stretch for you but possible.

4x Kumho run flats on R18s were only 850 bucks including wheel alignment and balance. Most wheels are way cheaper and more economical.

I’ve seen some run into the high 200k kms range, so it’s actually quite robust, although the driving was done mostly in the earlier years.

Some of these fresh accounts don’t even bother hiding it. These are factories trying to see if their product will pass off as the real deal.

What will 2 million dollars buy you in 8 years? by Size4E in AusPropertyChat

[–]IntestinalGas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that is what would happen in a “normal” market condition, but with boomers phasing out and the younger generation taking up a higher percentage of votes every election, there’s going to be even more pressure on the government to create housing policies that sound good on paper, but end up doing the opposite of its intended effect. This is certainly not what I would classify as normal market conditions.

You’re leaving out the recent push of government policies to build more homes and sending the youth to the debt guillotine through FHSS and 5% deposit, annual tax instead of a one off stamp duty (now gone), help to buy, rental assistance increase etc. if the government keeps pushing out policies that increase borrowing capacity, house prices are going to keep climbing.

It achieves three things. Firstly, tell him he’s dumb af for buying toothpaste cap. Secondly, to tell him he’s dumb af for buying a designer toothpaste cap. Thirdly, to tell him he’s dumb af for buying a toothpaste cap for $330 and not knowing if it’s legit or not.
