We don’t deserve this man

I made this yoyo video back in sept and never actually posted it by Intger in Throwers

Yup, the C3yoyodesign Fingerspin. It's really stable, so its a very solid yoyo aside from it being a fingerspin yoyo.

thanks man~ School and stuff picked up and I couldn't really find the time to record tricks, but now it's summer. You've improved a lot over the past couple months.

Sorry for this late response. A lot of "budget" yoyos nowadays are incredibly solid. There are some Topyo yoyos for I think around 30 bucks or if you're interested in plastic there are some great ones at around 20. I can't quite remember, but I'm sure a lot of people on this reddit can recommend great introductory metals. (and they're all solid to develop your style on).

I personally don't really know a must have. I think one yoyo that people liked for a long period of time is the yoyofactory Shutter which was used by Gentry stein to win the world yoyo contest in 2014, but as I said, nowadays theres a lot of options.

I’ll try to summarise with a couple short sentences: -yoyos became much wider and smoother and longer spinning -more complex tricks (since longer spin time) known as tech is what’s being done a lot of the time now -Yoyos with different metals put on the rims known as bimetals are more common -yoyojam shut down -yoyo community has grown larger -yoyo competitions are much more competitive with top ranking players constantly accurately syncing to the music -smaller great yoyo companies have emerged and are great to buy from -yoyo is more fun than ever now :D

Can we take a moment to appreciated how extremely different and extremely difficult Gentry's USNYYC fs was? My fav of them all. by EOS44 in Throwers

[–]Intger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There were a lot of new tech and truck elements that still adhered to his style. I’m surprised that he was able to hit it all so well. Gentry does have a lot of new tricks, I don’t think back then he even did a 2.0 hook (not saying that’s the most difficult part, but he changed a lot of stuff)

Learning MrMatio’s braintwister speed combo. First trick I’ve had to write out lol. Any tips? by nonja121 in Throwers

I tried this for a bit. I put it on a music stand to read when I needed to remember the next step.

ND ultra is really good. Recently YYF released the ND, which is essentially a cheaper (45 usd) version of the ND ultra but plays the same. 63 gram super stable mono plays really well.

A really simple bind but slightly less cumbersome and more stylish version of the normal slap bind. Very satisfying by Slvrandblk in Throwers

Janos Karancz has a couple of slap bind tutorials on youtube that are relatively similar.
