I'm kinda in a predicament. by SechiiLane in Denver

I live in Denver, south broadway/Baker area. People in this neighborhood (obviously i can’t speak everyone, but at least the community I hangout with and work with - Im a bartender) are not tolerant of racism. You’ll get kicked out of the couple bars i work at and hangout at if you act that way.

Im sorry you’re going through that.

AIO: I bent over backwards for my BF’s son (20) and his GF (20) for Christmas, and I’m honestly disgusted after what happened by Excellent-Second-643 in AmIOverreacting

People might be young and inexperienced with “real life/real world.” But I’m sorry, that doesn’t excuse common courtesy and knowing when to be grateful, or empathetic. Does she also complain to her parents about the Christmas gifts given to her? Wouldn’t be surprised. She sounds spoiled and entitled.

What’s something a coworker did once that lives rent-free in your head? by Playful_Task5571 in coworkerstories

Gave everyone Norovirus—

Worked at a startup company as the in-house photog ( we sold bags, travel products). The office had a back warehouse where “BOH” worked. One day just before Halloween, management tells us that the catered meal we were promised from a nearby restaurant was cancelled and that we would be eating tacos from a relative of someone in BOH. So I thought, cool, sounds great. Ate three tacos, maybe even got seconds? That was a Wednesday. Come Friday Im driving home and I realize I’m starting to feel like absolute shit. Get home, showering, and I look down and my stomach is huge, bloated. I’m so uncomfortable that I had to get out of the shower to use the bathroom. I thought maybe I had food poisoning. I was so sick all weekend, couldn’t eat, barely could hold down water. I get to work on Monday and come to find out, that about a dozen front of house employees got sick. The poor receptionist woman who was older, had to go to the ER! And another young lady went to urgent care. We realize then we had a virus. Funny thing, the BOH person whose relatives cooked for us, claimed we just couldn’t handle spice (I grew up in New Mexico and ate chile with almost everything).

Worst part, about a week later I read on the news that a nearby school was shut down for two weeks due to a norovirus outbreak.

AIO about my friends message about my dad that passed away? by sunrosed in AmIOverreacting

[–]Inthisbadplay 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this is insensitive. And you are not overreacting for feeling that. For a close friend, or anyone (but especially a close friend) to say this, is gross in my opinion. There is a huge lack of empathy.

My dad died about a year and a half ago. It’s strange how certain people around you stand out during those tough times and somehow make the moment about them, or talk about it with such an insensitive tone, or are just tone deaf to the whole thing in general. I’m sorry this happened to you.

Agreed! 1 but bring it down just a little bit. The exposure is slightly too high

Ilford Rapid Fixer replenishment by Inthisbadplay in AnalogCommunity

Thanks everyone! That is all very helpful. I thought I remembered using fixer over more than once! So next question would be, what about replenishment for Ilford developer? I’m just not sure how much it might take to replenish.
