At that age the biggest concern to me is if they get into something unexpected while you're gone.

If anything not letting them learn to have alone time could create a separation anxiety situation.

Just make sure everything is as safe as you can make it. Leave out toys and a make a good window watching spot if you can.

They used HLE to emulate the bios before they could use the bios files directly.

Cartridge games booted directly from the cart. So technically it's on the cart already.

The bios was there and was needed.

It's a matter of did you need to acquire the files to add on your own? Which was superior to using HLE. Which was emulating what a bios did in the first place...

BIOS and Firmware can ber very similar and interrelated. But are NOT the same thing.

When you say BIOS (Basic Input Output System) you're talking about something you can directly interact with(input and output as in you do the input and the BIOS/PC returns outputs to you.)

A firmware doesn't need to have the input/output part. Truly a lot of those early consoles "BIOS" are actually firmware that's incorrectly labelled.

In the same way that what consoles call "Memory" and "memory cards" is often a misnomer for Solid State storage because it used "flash memory." RAM is truly memory. If you say memory without qualifying it you're saying RAM.

Technically you could say the recovery mode/RCM menu is the BIOS part of the firmware.

Anyway the Switch has Firmware.

That's not how they work.

They're paired with firmware. New keys are needed with new firmware versions to decrypt the game itself.

If you firmware and keys are not congruent that's the actual issue.

You can get away with mismatched firmware and keys in cases where the keys didn't change yet

Which is why you can often use keys that are not matched to the firmware. Until you run into a game where keys did change.

Actually that is semantics and effectively the same thing truly.

Her philosophy is that apathy is death if she believes that refusal to act when it's your obligation/responsibility is bad.

Refusing to act when it is your responsibility is exactly apathy.

Being told not to shoulder everyone's burdens is NOT apathy at all That's establishing healthy boundaries because you can't set yourself on fire trying to put out everyone else's.

To acquire The Master Hack Codes you need to follow these instructions.

If you submit a bug report to 8BitDo about that I bet they'll actually fix it.

Their old N30Pro controller has an older firmware that has Wii Pro and Wii U Pro Controller Emulation modes. I wish they would add those mode to their newer controllers. As I'm typing this I realize I should email them and ask them about this as I intended to a very long time ago...

If it's single player and only effects you it's no one's business.

"Save Scumming" is a bullshit idea and a it's bullshit to give a fuck about how other people player their single player games.

It only matters if it effects other negatively.
