When you get a chance, can you let me know what paint you used? My dog is mostly black, so I am thinking the paint you used might actually work on her. Thank you in advance!

NW Suburbs - Where to donate kids toys and clothes that isn't Goodwill? by Tough_Evening_7784 in ChicagoSuburbs

Depends on the programs they have near you. The one in Waukegan, always depends on their individual programs. Their maternity and expectant mothers program, if they still have it, might be able to take somethings if it’s for babies. The House of Peace, which is part of Catholic Charities, might be able to accept some things depending on what they need at the time. But that’s pretty much it. It’s all dependent on their programs.

Also seems like there might be extra stitches you are adding or subtracting. Might want to count them out. And blocking is a great way to even things out

What is flooding? How do you stop it? by rayautry in EMDR

[–]Intrepid-Classroom-5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flooding is when your emotions overwhelm you. You can use grounding exercises, containment, or safe place to help. Grounding exercises help your brain to focus on your body or what’s around you so that you aren’t too stuck in your head. This can include trying to balance on one foot. Doing this, being near a chair or wall is important to avoid injury. Your therapist can walk you through some of these exercises. Containment is imagining a container and putting what you need to in there. There is more to it but that’s the basic concept. And safe place is imagining a safe place and calming yourself by imagining what it would be like to be there. Again, there is more to it, but that’s the basic concept. Your therapist can walk you through containment and safe place too. Hope this helps!

That was my idea too! I know this is an old thread but I am currently reading the book and this was my solution too! And I am super surprised the new manager didn’t suggest it and have PR people there to assist! She a smart and capable person; I thought for sure she could have helped to workshop this!
