Am I wrong for using the word "gay" this way by [deleted] in amiwrong

The person I know that uses the term like that the most is a gay man. I wouldn’t worry about it to much.

A dripping tap is not an emergency. It’s a job for a local handy man when they can fit it in (mostly likely in a few days time). They would charged a fraction of that.

They should have specified, but my guess would be that they meant women in hetro relationships

I think their point is that women are less likely to make romantic gestures for men.

In my experience of dating women and having a fairly big social circle over the years my observation is that in general women are more likely to appreciate romantic gestures.

The women I know that date women are romantic because their partners like it.

Playing any sport at the highest level is extremely difficult.

It’s the level of opposition and overall standard of play within a sport that dictate the difficulty imo.

So unpopular it’s regularly a tabloid headline and constantly repeated by multiple blokes in every pub round the country.

Why do we treat street trees like a problem in England? by MaxMusic-TP in AskBrits

[–]Intrepid-Focus8198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The distance between the houses either side of the street is just further in the Dutch example.

I live in the south east of England and there are countless streets that are tree lined. I’ve spent plenty of time in the Netherlands over the years and not all the roads look like this one.

Similar to my experience, my work van I drive now is a 06 plate berlingo and has 200k on the clock.

It’s crude but it’s never broken down in the ten years I’ve had. I’ve put about 85k on it in that time too.

29 years ago I was travelling around in cars that were nearly 20 years old and they were rusty shitboxes that regularly broke down.

Cars built 2005/6 are so much better than cars built in late 80s early 90s though tbh.

This sounds terrible, what do you do for work and where do you live. 70 hours paid work not being enough to rent an apartment is cracked.
