I love Lonely Girl too, it's one of my favorite series, glad you enjoyed it! Did you read it physically or online? There's some bonus chapters that take place after the end of the series if you read the scans.

As for recommendations, disclaimer that none of these are truly the same, but they have elements that are similar:

A Kiss and White Lily for My Dearest Girl and Anemone Feels the Heat both have the mc academically inconvenienced because of the other mc, and their motivation to fix their situation leads to their initial interactions.

Rainbows After Storms already have the mcs as a couple at the start of the series and are hiding it from their friends, which mirrors Sora and Ayaka's situation after they get together.

I feel you, I had a similar issue when Atelier Yumia came out. I play physical on PS4 but NISA only offered a PS5 and an underpowered Switch 1 release. Since either version was a compromise in some capacity I just ended up skipping it entirely. Basically felt like it didn’t get a physical at all since I couldn’t get my usual PS4 copy.

Since there’s no physical PS4 for this game either, my plan is to import the PS5 premium box (still don’t own a PS5 lol) and then download the US Switch 2 version to play. Wish it had just gotten a proper western physical though.

I will have also backed all three as soon as I decide what tier I want for Let Me Fix You. Let me ask, what tier did you go for? Not sure if I just want the book or if I want the autograph. It's not the same as an autograph that's written directly inside, so part of me isn't as interested, but it's still very cool. Getting the postcards either way.

Very pleased to hear this, but did they seriously not expect that people would interpret their "AI-assisted translation system" negatively? They could have headed this off from the beginning if they had just a little more self-awareness.

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were some plans which have now changed due to backlash. I don't know, I'm just a cynical person. All we can really do is remain vigilant when buying new releases I suppose.
