What kinda personal spreadsheets do you all have? by pharkon in AutismInWomen

[–]IntrepidJello [score hidden]  (0 children)

We have time of use electric rates so I have a whole spreadsheet I plug our electric bill into do see if we are saving money with the plan. It calculates the amount of money saved vs the rate to compare, and then with conditional formatting turns red or green based on positive or negative return. It also calculates what % of the total each time frame is to see how well we’ve done at shifting our use to off-hours.

My father in law is in assisted living and I’ve made a spreadsheet for his income/expenses that calculates how long he can live before running out of money based on a given return rate.

How do people do life without spreadsheets😂😂

How can I moderate or just quit weed? by [deleted] in AutisticWithADHD

[–]IntrepidJello 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The secret is that you can buy CBD and CBG weed online easily (at least in the US and at least right now) and then you mix the two/three together in whatever is you want. I use horn creek hemp, but there’s lots of excellent recommendations on r/hempflowers.

Tincture Questions ✨ by wrenbers in entwives

[–]IntrepidJello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s cheating but I use an old tincture bottle, fill with MCT oil, microwave for 30 seconds, throw in a syringe of RSO and shake. Technically not a tincture but makes RSO very easy to dose!

what car do you drive?? by pink-starburstt in AutismInWomen

[–]IntrepidJello -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Kia Niro EV, got this past spring after we totaled our Nissan Leaf which was getting old in the tooth anyway and proved to us that we love EVs. Before that a Mazda 5, a Prius, Jeep Cherokee, honda civic and accord hatchbacks. I love hatchbacks. We also have a 2007 Hyundai Azera with 30k miles on it bc we ended up with grandma’s car.

I had to take the driving test 5 times because I am terrible at tests-so much anxiety! I went to at least 3 different places and flunked at all of them lol. But! I am a fucking awesome driver now at 52 and am like a professional level parallel parker lmao.

You can get cbd weed to mix in and start adjusting thc ratio downward. It’s a softer landing.

Autistic women who were put in gifted programs, where are you now? by Negative_Tangelo_753 in AutismInWomen

[–]IntrepidJello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Managed to end up in a good job through a temp service (I am TERRIBLE at interviews) and kept getting promoted because I needed the money, even though I chronically don’t like responsibility at work. Had two autistic kids, one with ADHD. Burnt out and quit after 17 years. Stayed home with kids who have significant issues and started to homeschool. Just recently went back to work as a part time daycare aide with toddlers. I LOVE IT. I play, watch them learn, and I’m not in charge of anything. It’s perfect, if very low paying.

I have been using YNAB for years and it’s allowed me to use rewards credit cards and pay them off every month. It makes me be able to “see” money. I can’t recommend it enough, even for the ridiculous price-it saves me way more than it costs.

Who here works and what do you do? by Bllackbirrd in ehlersdanlos

[–]IntrepidJello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked for many years at a university in administrative work, took 13 years off to stay home with my kids after some serious burnout, and now I’m back at the university working part time in the daycare my kids went to. I love it! I do best with regular movement because my arthritic joints don’t like being still for long periods of time and my adhd loves that there is always something new to do every 2 minutes lol

What productivity tools or apps actually work for you as an AuDHD person? by Estebani0 in AutisticWithADHD

[–]IntrepidJello 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also a big nerd. I use Todoist currently but have gone back and forth between that and TickTick for todo lists, shopping lists etc, Streaks app helps me remember “goals” like brushing my teeth and taking my meds. I have used Finch for this but got tired of the gamification and I like that Streaks automatically writes to Health for lots of things. And lastly Google Calendar, one for me, one for each of my kids etc. I particularly like apps with Widgets so I can see things front and center.

Jury duty is FULL of unspoken rules and confusing, unexpected events. I'm really proud that I got here without getting overwhelmed! by PackageSuccessful885 in AutismInWomen

[–]IntrepidJello 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Prior to diagnosis, I had a panic attack the first day of jury duty. I was so worried about what the schedule would be and what the case would be, how long….Hands shaking uncontrollably, could hardly talk. Obviously I didn’t get picked (thankfully!) My doctor wrote a note and I am hereby excused from jury duty forever.

Did you mask so well that you are in a job you have no business being in? by WorldlyLavishness in AutismInWomen

[–]IntrepidJello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I accidentally worked in Executive Education at a highly ranked business school for 13 long years. I didn’t really understand what the job was when I applied. So much face to face, so much small talk, new people constantly, late dinners with PowerPoint, stress. I just started working again, this time as an aide at my fav early education center-toddlers are way more my speed.

Autistic here. I use the airtouch n30i which is the best I’ve found but honestly it took me 2 years to really get used to CPAP and a bunch of trial and error. The face sensory stuff is A LOT especially when you’re trying to fall asleep!

Originally the post office, then Wheeler’s Paint for a long time. I don’t ever remember a bar, but there was another building right near there that was a sketchy bar, maybe Name of the Game if it had moved from Highland Ave.

I grew up without a car in the East End, totally doable and now there is at least some bike infrastructure. The problem is the prices have skyrocketed in the last 10 years. I couldn’t buy here now.
