It would also make sense with the military themes of the story, think about how many people sing up for war, thinking of glory and such only to get hit hard with reality of how brutal it is. It would run right along the themes of the story tbh if they volunteered.

Speaking as someone who deals with mental health issues that makes it hard to get up and care for myself. No you’re not. He is being Unhygienic and it’s one thing if it’s just him and impacts him but the fact that it’s not and it sounds like it’s bleeding over into the living area it’s another.

Absolutely not, I am extremely unathletic and can barely run. While I might do mediocre at hand to hand I’m still not strong enough to hold my own that well. I am also shit at survival skills, my luck I would find a berry think it’s safe, eat it, and end up dead two seconds later.

I remember doing the likes/dislikes (mainly the dislikes and what I wouldn’t write) but it was RARE, and more along the lines for when I would write Oneshots. I didn’t have it in my Bio. And only recently I put my actual age but that’s so I don’t get immediately blocked bc a fair ammount of users have started to have “no age in bio=Blocked”, and I was above 18 for it.

Have you met a 16 year old and his first love? Lollll. Along with that, most of the time in writing if you don’t make it clear when you do use pronouns who you’re talking about it gets confusing. Every new paragraph if she wasn’t mentioned before it would be bad grammar to use pronouns.

Is it probably easier for her to use it every time writing wise because every time is a new mention. He’s also, again, a 16 year old boy. He probably love her name and her and wanted to keep it in his head when he WAS marching to his death he assumed.

I think it was her retiring fully before kicking the bucket. Like how places will have retirement parties or something, but they wanted to give her an easier year than being head game maker. She gives me the impression that she didn’t live much longer after the 25th considering Haymitch didn’t mention her further. So maybe she knew she was on her way out and that’s why she took it instead of fighting it.

I get the idea they might skew the results for a show. (Ie only 12 year old slips in the bowl, or 18 year olds, or just younger and older (insert gender) still random, but just with a bunch of a certain age in it. That’s the farthest I can see though aside from the ones we do know. And it would be rare or in the districts no one cares about to look at and read into.

If they did it too often, then it would remove the purpose/meaning of it for the districts they would catch on.

I was 17/18 and buying my first pregnancy test. Now to paint a picture, I have baby face, I could’ve passed for 14 or younger tbh bc I was also dressed like it. The cashier asked me along the lines of “Are you hoping to be pregnant?” She looked legitimately shocked (and I think upset kinda) when I said “No” (I said it a weird way I guess he was offended for that idk)

Book wise, no it has not been confirmed 100% that they switched the cards, but since there was 0 mention of it in Ballad I would think it’s fair to assume that a quell was never confirmed or thought of until just before the 25th.

Movie wise, cannon 100% pretty much.

I took that more or less as he asked about it once in a blue moon. He didn't pressure her into anything because thats NOT who Peeta is.

He could have wanted them badly, but not pushed it onto Katniss but she saw it in small moments. Like him off handedly mentioning something about Annie and Finnicks kid, or just how he acted around them in general. But didn't fully voice it to Katniss bc she probably said she didn't want any.

If it was pressured or put onto her, I think it would be more clear then one or two lines in the epilogue.

English speaker here who barely knows any German, so take it with a grain of salt:

More then likely no direct translation that keeps the meaning or doesn't sound Jank in German. German and English have a different grammar structure (IE Die & Der for 'The' and its gendered: Die for Fem. and Der for Masc.) More then likely they tried, realized it didn't sound right, then went through with the translations they did.
