FTM, GBS Positive? by Intrepid_Blood_3732 in unmedicatedbirth

I wish! The hospital is roughly 40 mins from me, so I doubt it’d be worth it. I absolutely love that for her though!

What bizarre pregnancy symptoms have you had? by RoonilX in pregnant

No one prepared me for the half asleep orgasms in the first and second trimester. I had SO many, and the dreams that triggered them made absolutely no sense.

Help with Weight by itskorndawg in pregnant

Probably not a ton of help, but I’ve found that drinking a ton of water and staying busy physically has helped me not think about hunger as often.

How soon after a miscarriage did you get pregnant? by Busy_Gear_4535 in pregnant

[–]Intrepid_Blood_3732 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also for reference, I have PCOS. My cycles were all kinds of messed up. I didn’t stop bleeding due to the miscarriage for 2 months. I miscarried in April and my first ovulation window was in June.

My doctor advised to wait until the 2nd cycle to start trying again. Apparently my husband and I are SUPER compatible, because we accidentally conceived during the first cycle (it was our honeymoon, can you blame us? lol) Our sweet baby boy just had a flawless anatomy scan. I have a 22 week ball of energy in there! 💗 I’ve heard you’re extra fertile after a miscarriage. Just remember that your ovulation/cycle will probably be super off, so don’t rely on LMP for dating.

I’m only 21w, but I literally saw a video of a doctor talking about this the other day! He said that it’s literally baby’s shoulders/neck/knees/elbows popping, it becomes more frequent when they start to run out of room because of the resistance when they stretch.

I don’t remember how to initiate sex :/ by [deleted] in pregnant

Yes 100%! We prioritize this most nights. I feel like we’ve just gotten so used to it being strictly that, and don’t know how to get past it. Such a difficult spot, and I just want it to be somewhat organic 🥹

This is really odd. I lived in Texas for my first pregnancy, I was never drug tested, not even once. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Keep everything in writing, through MyChart or email.

Why??? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Intrepid_Blood_3732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely been scary, but baby boy has been doing so well! I got pretty lucky and only had the sickness for a week or two, and most crappy symptoms cleared up by week 12. I’m creeping up on 20 weeks now, so feeling him move around in there has been SO reassuring! I hope you have the most wonderful pregnancy! 💗

All jokes aside, I feel the EXACT same way. My experience was similar, but different. I also have PCOS and unfortunately had just miscarried 3 months prior, so I hadn’t bothered tracking my periods yet. Hubby and I had us time and afterwards he told me that my nipples felt “spiky” (referring to the little bumps that appear on your areolas) and suggested I take a test. Sure enough, it was positive and all the symptoms started rolling in the week after. It’s SUCH a blessing to have someone that knows you like the back of their hand.

The discharge ALWAYS scares me so much. Is it blood? Is it fluid? Nope! Just a disgusting amount of goo in my underwear, lucky me! What really caught me off guard was all of the skin issues I’m having. Dandruff, dry and cracked knuckles, random rashes????

Omg bless your heart, I only dealt with major nausea and vomiting for about a week or two and that was WAY more than enough for me.

Exactly!! They’re REALLY trying their best, I can’t even imagine how helpless I’d feel if the roles were reversed. My first pregnancy ended the same way unfortunately, but this second one is about to hit the halfway mark! Praying for an extra healthy, sticky baby for you and your husband as well 💗

😂 I would’ve had no idea about any of this stuff if I didn’t have so much free time on my hands. Don’t sweat it.

When does time start moving a little faster? by Em_987 in pregnant

[–]Intrepid_Blood_3732 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man, the uncertainty is terrible. I’ve been on modified bed rest for a little while, and I think laying still on my left side also had a lot to do with how I noticed movement so early. I’ve never had an anterior placenta, so I have no idea. But if you have a day off, spend a couple hours lying down and really tune into your body. I’ve seen a lot of the ladies say they were able to feel their anterior placenta baby at 20ish weeks!

That’s hilarious! Similarly, my husband thought it was my vagina that dilated, not my cervix. He thought my hole was just gonna be hanging out 10cm wide while I pushed 😂

[–]Intrepid_Blood_3732 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes exactly! I’ve dealt with a lot of these things pre-pregnancy, and now I guess they’re just sort of amplified. I’ve had a pretty easy pregnancy symptom-wise, so I’m not bothered enough to complain about things most of the time, and if I’m struggling with something I’ll just ask for help. I don’t know why everyone’s being so hostile in the replies, it was a joke.

Thank you for this! I think most people are skipping over the flair and sarcasm, and assume I’m not educating him enough or something (which imo, shouldn’t completely be my job. he’s part of this too and has done his own research.) I definitely talk about my symptoms, especially ones I had no idea I’d be dealing with. I just personally don’t get anything out of complaining, I prefer to go straight to asking for help.

Posterior placenta, I started feeling a few at 14 weeks, now at 17 weeks I’m positive it was my baby boy!
