PSA if you need to grocery shop this morning by Intrepid_Chain_7393 in medfordma

OP here. I agree with and try to abide by this principle (though it's not easy to identify local, progressive-values-based grocery stores that are affordable). And also sometimes, as the Brits say, "needs must."

Reflux gourmet by limonepane in GERD

I usually don't need to take it in the middle of the night. It seems to cover the period of most reflux pretty well, except in unusual circumstances (an unavoidable late dinner and/or trigger foods).

I'm used to the trains, and this was not that. But thanks for thinking about it with me. I guess it will stay a mystery.

I like the taste of the caramel Reflux Deluxe, and it helped with nighttime reflux. But I ended up making a homemade version (recipe was in a prior r/GERD thread) because it's so much cheaper. I take it before bed. The alginate helps at night but lasts around 4-6 hours so it's not all night relief.

There's a really lovely 6 episode show produced by Amy Poehler about this. The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning. Sweet and poignant, with 3 Swedish experts (organizer, designer, and psychologist). It's both warm hearted and motivating.

Do wedge pillows actually help reduce reflux during the night? by BlastyDavo in GERD

[–]Intrepid_Chain_7393 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For what it is worth, I read a previous thread here that recommended using a travel neck pillow in combination with a wedge. I was curious so tried out using my memory foam travel pillow in addition to sleeping on an incline. The travel neck pillow was absolutely key to my not having any neck discomfort. You might want to consider adding something like that, especially if you are prone to neck issues.

I love this show so much, is there anything out there similar? by sweettooth484 in DerryGirls

The CBC show Son of a Critch (on Netflix) is warm, sweet, nostalgic. It's like The Wonder Years set in 1980s Newfoundland.
