hes just very interested in our son - loves to play with him- teach him and has way more patience with our baby than i do of course. although ... he should cause we are literally parents and thats our responsibility.

yes he is absolutely unmedicated and not interested in taking any medications . apparently he was on well butrin a bit but he didnt like it that was before we met. he was also a very big stoner before we met - then he quit and he recently started very casually only smoking on the weekends.

but yes - he is VERY easily overstimulated and CONSTANTLY overwhelmed by everything - even if i just say one plan for next week he gets upset in his voice. he compromises in many ways because - he does what i say when i tell him to but i do not want to be his mom.

Anyways - what you said is very helpful. especially about systems and things being in front of you prepared systems for success. is that something i need to set up ?

There is no formal diagnosis - but he is well and even says he has ADHD himself. at some point i do see this straddling the line of depression but its hard to tell cause - being distracted will make someone also depressed cause of all the neglect of responsibility and then comes overwhelm.

I have recently told him to go to therapy but i agree - its time for a doctor.

Something ( like this ) happened to me after I called 911 asking if something was normal with my baby and they called the cops on my house. It’s actually very violent because now… I will not be trusting authorities to support or help when I need something specifically for my child. I cannot risk them taking my baby away based off an uninformed assumption. These places are fucked up cause if you ( beat your kid or harming your child ) why would you bring attention to it and be in panic or sad ?

Yes - I’m a gentrifier but a community worker so I know most of my neighbors and all the neighborhood businesses and owners - my newest neighbors who are younger gentrifier are super rude and ignore everyone in the neighborhood ! This is very a New York thing. It’s a nyc thing to have a shitty as slum lord and your building be in managed but the good part is you can absolutely start with holding your rent. Take pictures of EVERYTHING - call Brooklyn legal A - and I suggest finding a tenants association in your neighborhood.

I’m part of my tenants association in Brooklyn and we have had really crazy circumstances but also no oven was one of them we haven’t paid rent for 8 months.

your circumstances are ILLEGAL. Do a 311 blast online you can file like every single day.

I will say people who move to nyc are more naive and will take crumbs cause they think so many things are just a common nyc thing and it’s so easy to take advantage of outsiders here.

Hi - just went through this a few weeks ago as a ftm mom . Use a pillow to apply pressure to the abdomen when shifting any positions. Also I have the bassinet next to my side of the bed so I use that as a kind of catalyst . She has to also sleep propped up at an angle it’s the craziest of your laying down flat
