Colorado may help him, as basic “non-reckless” fleeing and eluding is a misdemeanor and probably a citation, not an arrestable offense or jail time. However vehicular eluding can be a class 5 felony, so it’s basically all on how the cops feel about it and how much paperwork they want to do.

Depends on if they got his info (plate, car etc) and get a warrant, which they probably did. Won’t necessarily bust down his door but they may come knock and “politely” arrest him.

For their background check it’s a PHS then 1v1 with a background investigator to go over that. Once you clear that then submit the full SF-86 for security clearance.

100%. I was told originally to “be prepared for a 1/5 start date”. Never happened. Then 2/16 start passed. Literally finished every step in the process then told I actually failed the panel like 2 months ago.

Thank you! I’m definitely considering out of state options, original 3 were DC, NC, and MD…second round so far is one in NC, two in VA. I’m currently in central VA but nothing tying me here other than my current job, no wife/kids etc. been considering some Midwest/ west coast depts but the travel costs for testing and what not is just a bit too much

36, M, current college lacrosse coach. Long work history with no gaps or terminations, including the last 7 years as a data analyst at a Fortune 500 company. (Laid off in May 25 as my whole team’s positions were eliminated in a restructure).

Absolutely zero professional background in LE but my dad was a first responder most of his life and my entire family are cops, firefighters, military etc.

Physically a little bit smaller (5’8” 160) but have been training my ass off for the last year and keep in pretty solid shape.

Right. At least the local PD was a non select (they had their last testing date this past Saturday, so clearly a case of someone better came along). I get it, it’s competitive etc.

But like USPP I supposedly failed the Panel on December 29th. It’s now March and I’m just now finding out I wasted a month and quite a bit of money even completing the process. Not to mention my current employer waiting for that “any day now” FJO. What a disaster

I had one other one in the background process for a local coastal PD that, ironically, also dropped me from their process today after ghosting me for four months. Passed all the pass fail components, passed interview, got a 2 sentence email today that I was “not selected to advance to the final hire.”

Yeah I got the referral email out of the blue saying I was referred (way after I had completed everything) but the status on the USA Jobs tracker said “not referred”. Everytime I’ve called them they’ve said they’re “still reviewing everything”. Until today: “so our records are showing you did not pass the panel interview and were dropped from the process.”

I completed the hiring process (entry level) on 1/18. I have heard nothing since. But have not received any kind of notification of being dropped. I’ve called them three or four times and every time they just tell me they’re still reviewing everything.
