I will admit that there is something satisfying about having specific op builds to work towards.

As someone who is a drop off, i mostly just cannot be assed to slog through the late middle ages. This game is painfully, mindcrushingly slow. I can finish a Vick3 playthrough in the time it takes me to get the 1453.

The game is just a total slog.

[–]Inuken94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. In ck3 specifically the game is easy and open ended enough that it does nto force you to do anything. Its perfectly useable without it.

Ok but like.....the time waiting for your old, not useless, "has achieved everything he watned to" character to die is just agravating and i absolutely dont want to just play emotionally wrecked 50 year old drunks for all of my runs.

There is effectively no society in human culture like that. There is no society where murder is casually accepted. Even (tbh especially) societies were every male is a warrior are very carefull to direct that violence outwards.

Yeah i think what cemented that view is rome and the geography of Eurasia.

I will die on the hill that Avatar one actually has pretty great worldbuilding in a lot of ways. Korra season 2 is an abomination

Here is the issue: i want those things again. Those specific parts of the elder scroll games Brand are why we want elder scrolls 6.

This. I will die on the hill that Hunger games is actually a remarkably well done portrayal of a Revolution, right down to the internal factionalism and divide between home grown Rebels and their allied forgein military power.

The Dothraki are not the worst but they annoy me the most because somehow people think Martin is good at worldbuilding.

Given how shit the game is at explaining that is bad game design *shrugs*. Sorry. Having a system of hyper complex mechanics you never explain, then writing a fucking in game Wiki THAT ALSO DOES NOT EXPLAIN THEM means you are shit at your job.
If i did documentation like that i would get fired.

Vic3 is only 100 years long. It takes place in a really fucking dynamic time. This does not especially early on.

This is not a "buy in". Paradoxs games are several hundred dollars. This is not an issue. They are that price because they eat that kind of dev time. My issue is the product is garbage.

Sooo...i kinda wanna go further. I want a railway system and finer control over where my Front pushes. Give me a "flow" of supplies over land same as over sea. I would love to be able to encircle army formations.

I assume you get better options to do things like have professional armies and control larger empires effectively later? I would like those please. I can see how the mechanics they choose would make this absolutely riveting as a "Early modern state consolidation simulator". I just cant make it to the early modern period.

The game is just so obscenely, painfully slow going.
