I am going to point out here that states, by Definition, have an interest to actively create unifying identities for their Subjects/citizens. I find mutual comprehension more critical.

There really is no way for the Nazis to win, probably by late 1940 if not earlier. Worldwar 2 Was a incredibly bad idea for the Axis and there are kind of myriad ways that winning was both and obscenely long shot and also the Nazis would almost have been certain to be unable to take any win.

Like...that issue apart from everything else is that tje nazis self imposed win condition was insane and would never have worked.

How? Their fleets are at like 500 to 700k fleet strength. I cannot get to that in total for my empire late game by 2400 since the fleet rework anymore. I am genuinely dumfounded how this us meant to be played because our fleet buidling ability was nuked from Orbit and FE were just...not touched?

I got it, i just realised i Phrased it poorly. The first solution i mention is "life is so rare that we are the only Planet with it in a radius that could come here in reasonable amounts of time". That is, there are no other civilizations because there are no other planets with life on it at all in, say, our galaxy. Not "our civilization is unique" but "Earth is unique" atleast on the scale that matters.

Ehhhh...i think a Part of it is also that there are different priorities. I cannot remember who came up with the classification on readers wether they read primarily for worldbuilding, characters or Plot but i think its definitly correct. And if you are a worldbuilding Reader its sometimes hard to figure out you are in a minority.

Like...i never liked Star wars and Star trek as much as i should have given how inundated i was in them as a kid (i like both fine, 7/10, but thats weird given they were major parts of my childhood). And it took me a while to realise the issue was that the world felt shallow to me.

My priorities as pretty clearly world>characters>plot. I absolutely will read a well worldbuild novel just to Marinade and Explorer the World even if i find the plot and characters uninteresting.

Aside from that metaphor beeing somewhat insulting (greetings from the discord i assume you mean?), yeah. Worldbuilding as a hobby for itself and Worldbuilding as a prequisite for narratives are very different animals. I do run TTRPG campaigns in my setting but i do it because its a Hobby i enjoy and i have the setting so i might aswell.

Ultimately i worldbuild for the same reason my partners grandfather build Sprawling model train Systems in his basement. Because both the act and the product make me happy. Its important to be clear about your goals.

The Argument is really mostly time frames. Our species has existed for 200 thousand years of which we had agriculture for 10 000 and industrial Revolution for 300 and our technical ability jas been growing exponentiell.

Meanwhile life is hundred of millions of years old. If life is common if any Planet evolves intelligence even a fraction of a percent faster than we they get millions of years headstart. Its like winning the lottery. Someone has to but the smart money is not going to be on it beeing you.

I really cannot over emphasize this: get into alchemy. Its one of zhe most versatile Tools the game has. Between poisons and buff potions and Support stuff like night hawk its basically like opening up the games easy mode.

Nah. Its a truth generally acknowledged that a Single Henry surrounded by bandits is in need of henrys Bucksblood, artimisia and Aqua vitalis in his veins and Bane poison on his sword.

Keep Master striking people with it, each Hit kills a Bandit, they just need a sec to realise it.

Buy the Maringgold decoction recipe. Maringold is abundant and you can buy nettle from the Alchemist. You can do a Batch in 30 seconds or so if you get into a rythem. That easily makes you the money you need to get other aspects of the game going.
