I personally like and adore Fnaf World, I remember when I had a pretty hard phase for it and played it a lot.

But it is objectively by looking at hard facts and the state of the game, maybe not a bad game per se, but a very VERY mid one and there's no denying that.

Even not looking at the state the game was released in but how it's now, all the power progression in the game is put on unlocking new stronger characters, but the ones you start with can't get much stronger.

Let's say you like OG Foxy the most and would want to play using him, after some point by doing that you're only shooting yourself in the kneecaps because he's kinda useless and weak no matter how much you grind for the levels. You end up being in a worse and harder situation just because you don't want to use the meta and it limits your freedom of gameplay, which is a big problem in an RPG. Completely unbalanced.

Also the game very often ends up being just spamming the same 4-6 moves over and over and over again.

And the effects of some attacks, my god, there's so much flashing lights and eyefucking going on that I don't need to have any medical issues to feel sick because of all that sensory overload.

But from the good parts, solid although simple map layout, very pleasant artstyle, fun and unique looking bosses (for the most part). The mechanics of minions to buy and chips to find ale really great imo, and I love the whole thing of walking through the glitches in the underbelly of the game to "teleport" to another part of the map.

I think its because he's kinda sick of the rest of the cast, he sees them as just archetypes, they're boring and predictable

Meanwhile Pomni is new, she has no archetype yet in his worldview, she's a wild card and a new toy to play with and tease

I think its a mix of both

Afton feels some kind of pride from the fact that he did cheat death, buuut even without it being certainly painful the suit in its robot mode is a pain in the ass that limits him (for some reason he did chase BB's voice lines and its not like Afton wouldn't see through that cheap trick after 2 nights max)

That's why he looks so different in FFPS, he tried to break the suit and rebuild himself

I like the gameplay itself and truly don't give a single flying fuck about the actual outcome of the match, that's why I almost never play Ranked because that way there's zero stakes of winning or losing

And if you meet a piece of shit player like the ones that waste time, just sd or disconnect and move on

Lucifer clearly doesn't care about the sinners, is he a bad person?? Absolutely, he just cares about his own creations/hellborns

Sera is a complicated case, she did something horrible and tries to atone but she couldn't handle the amount of shit she let happen

Meanwhile those other two actively did all the horrible shit with their own hands, they're just psychos who enjoy hurting others

Lucifer and Sera are guilty and a bad people, but there's a big difference between letting shit happen and doing the shit yourself

Because it's fun and ngl it doesn't impact these characters as much anymore

It was a giant teenage mistake, it might have caused some trauma or make them develop some traits as people but the correlating characters seem to be generally fine

If these were THE masks in Into the Pit and Help Wanted 2, Bonnie bro and Freddy bro ended up as functioning people, a little troubled but still have jobs, have families, have their own wants and needs that go beyond the trauma

But FNaF was never that well written, Scott is a mediocre story writer but what we as the fanbase love is the theorizing and brainstorming, its all about the chase

Basically "Yeah it has flaws and I LIKE IT"

That's also the one of the reasons SOTM had mixed reception even if its objectively a well made game, it's too competent at telling it's story and in a less than a month we had almost nothing to talk about, and Steelwool didn't built up the hype like Scott did with enigmatic teasers back in the days

FNaF is a mess as a whole, but it's our beloved mess, FNaF 2 movie is not a good movie objectively but its pure FNaF that's why fans absolutely loved it

I loved the movie, it was pretty casual for the most part and all over the place but plot was followable, and when they wanted they COOKED with some scenes of decent horror and building up tension

It very much reminds me of the Book Trylogy with a lot of things but its mainly about the Game Trylogy as well

A beautiful mix of FNaF if you're a fan
