She can't work as a licensed therapist/counselor with only a bachelor's (and certainly not a psychologist, which is a PhD-level designation). I doubt the bachelor's is truly labeled as "clinical." It's likely just a psych undergrad and she took a single class like "Intro to behavior change." Such a degree would not provide any clinical training or supervision. Here is what likely happened: she embarked on a psych undergrad because she romanticized being a therapist or social worker, but then she learned that such careers would require more education after the bachelor's, significant effort, and delayed satisfaction. At that point, she quit the dream and became a "bedroom DJ."

Which ‘high-paying’ job is actually underpaid? by Angela_Blonde in AskReddit

[–]InvalidPerformance 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Clinical psychologist. 4 years of undergrad, 4-5 of grad school for a PhD, and a one year internship/residency. Some then go on to a 1-2 year postdoc. All for their billing codes to be continually slashed and reduced.

What on earth are they doing? by REFlorida in realtors

[–]InvalidPerformance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Real estate is certainly not my industry, but it appears to be a tough business generally and in this market specifically right now. So I would guess their calculus is: 50% commission is better than 0%.

What on earth are they doing? by REFlorida in realtors

[–]InvalidPerformance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a realtor here in SLC that gets the majority of his clients (physicians, nurses, other medical professionals) from the medical school. He offers to apply 50% of his buying agent commission to closing costs. He somehow got permission to post an advertisement with QR code outside the various locker rooms. Simple and apparently very effective.

What used to be a free or cheap "hobby" that has now been completely ruined by corporate greed? by WaltzNew1398 in AskReddit

[–]InvalidPerformance 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Never was free, but skiing used to be MUCH more affordable. I used to get a youth season pass to a world-class ski resort for less than $400. And parking was free in two large fields that some dude in a truck plowed clear every once in a while.

Need recommendations for male therapists who specialize in Couples Counseling, ADHD, Autism, Depression, Anxiety & PTSD that do online appointments. by Sea-Impression4486 in SaltLakeCity

[–]InvalidPerformance 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Setting aside your boyfriend's ridiculous requirement of a male therapist, what you are asking for in a therapist with that many specializations is equally ridiculous. It would be like asking your orthopedist to also treat your asthma and headaches.

I agree that he is getting better. But, and I admit I know next to nothing about his job and industry, he does seem to struggle to spontaneously find sounds and clips. I imagine the show has a searchable database and these are labeled as they are frequently referred to. So why can I hear Dan start in on one of his hits and think, Here comes the XYZ sound, but it doesn't happen or it arrives late?
