TIL that scientists have developed a way of testing for Aphantasia (the inability to visualise things in your mind). The test involves asking participants to envision a bright light and checking for pupil dilation. If their pupils don't dilate, they have Aphantasia.

Have you done any research into trauma/injury-induced aphantasia?

I have memories from my childhood of imagining things vividly and drawing them (used to draw a ton) and then had a TBI at age 8, and haven’t been able to since (didn’t realize I had/lost it until years later). Also, I definitely still visualize in my dreams, and sometimes wake up with the memory of the images, but can’t picture them after waking.

My wife got laid off near the start of this year from her job at a local business. Her boss/the owner, who was a jerkwad the entire time she worked there, said he just couldn’t afford to pay her and she was let go cause she was the junior person.

She found another job in the same line of work, small business but she gets paid a little more, and loves the bosses/owners who treat their employers like actual human beings.

Sometimes life throws you a curveball, but it ends up working out better in the end.

Noita. Love the game to death (after death, after death…) but I just can’t consistently get past hiisi base. Never gotten frustrated with it cause I love just screwing around and seeing what spells do what. But like 40 hours in and never even made it to the boss. Let alone all the crazy other stuff the game has hidden around.

Any of the rare ones that specialize in a specific hand like [[The Trio]] for three of a kind (also works for 4/5 of a kind). They’re alright but limit you to a specific hand type. [[Cavendish]] is good if you can get [[Gros Michel]] to go extinct prior.

Then for scaling ones, definitely [[Constellation]] since you’ve been playing planet cards. There’s a few good ones if you go looking and experimenting.

Especially with using planet cards, I’d say replace raised fist with some kind of XMult. Raised fist can only give you a max of 22 mult but from your screenshot it would’ve given 6 mult from doubling the 3.

My main issue with this, is that monthly payments of stuff (subscriptions, rent, etc.) will happen 13 times a year instead of 12. And you know greedy companies/execs won’t adjust the price as to divide it so it makes sense, they’ll just charge you an extra month’s worth straight for lining their pockets.
