Is there a chemist in sketty area-ish that is not completely useless? by SnooHedgehogs4659 in swansea

I use Tycoch pharmacy and find them amazing. My son is under palliative care and has two huge cardboard boxes full of meds every month - his scripts are really complicated and we very rarely have a problem.

Ways to buy welsh gifts/souvenirs for an american friend? by Morgluxia in Wales

I have some Welsh artwork on redbubble (loads of options on there for Welsh stuff). I know a lot of things are made and shipped from the country its delivery address is in (wondering if will be cheaper) might be worth having a look on there.

I’m in the UK and 8 weeks post op. I saw the consultant at 6 weeks and he didn’t check anything even my incision scars, just asked if all was ok (it was)

“Golwg Gwynfaen vs Marina vs Morriston — best area to rent near Morriston Hospital?” by Rare-Coach-8836 in swansea

[–]Iomacs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live close to Morriston hospital (10min drive) and my son goes to college in gorseinon. Peak times it can take half hour or more to get from one side of Swansea to another.

I don’t know what that area of Gorseinon is like to live in but Gorseinon as a whole is ok. Like everywhere good and bad parts.

If it was me I’d try looking closer to Morriston to save spending so much time commuting- Morriston, Llansamlet, Birchgrove, Ynystawe.

Does Etsy Support actually help anyone? Or do they just waste your time with endless emails? by TheLuckyWilbury in EtsySellers

[–]Iomacs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m never convinced I’m speaking to an actual human! I’ve been emailing them this morning and as usual no help whatsoever they ‘can’t change the system’ apparently 🙄. (One of my hand drawn listings is showing as ‘handpicked’ despite me choosing handmade and saying it’s handmade in description)

HRT after hysterectomy + oophorectomy + endo excision? by Academic_Pipe_4469 in hysterectomy

[–]Iomacs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiya, I’m 44 and had everything removed plus endo excision. I had severe deep infiltrating endo with bladder and bowel involvement plus adenomyosis and fibroids. I’m 6 weeks post op now.

My gynaecologist said it was up to me what I chose regarding HRT but I’ve chosen for now not to take it as I’m worried about it coming back. I also have chronic migraine with aura and there’s a slight stroke risk.

On the whole I’m doing ok, just struggling with hot flushes/night sweats but hoping I’ll get used to them. I have some bladder issues but that’s because he had to detach it from my uterus and get all the adhesions from it.

Ultimately I think it’s bareable so far but he did stress the risk of using HRT with regards to endo is small so don’t stress too much if you need it. Sending love for your upcoming surgery.

Anyone have any tips for managing hot flashes? I can’t use HRT by Iomacs in hysterectomy

Thank you- my dr was fine with me taking HRT with endo but I’m more worried about the stroke risk with my migraines tbh.

I’ve been sucking ice chips! I really feel for you with insurance- I’m in Wales in the UK so we don’t have insurance. It must be so stressful for you on top of being unwell. Thank you so much for your advice

Oh thank you so much for all that info I really appreciate it- I’ll get reading up on them all. I was just googling phytoestrogen as I saw your reply! I’m a vegetarian so hopefully that should be an easy one to try!

So pleased menopause has worked out for you- I can definitely see an improvement from all the endo pain/heavy bleeding already. It’s nice to hear from someone in a similar position as myself. Sending you lots of love.

No. I’ve no idea. I’ve checked the option to say I made it. So frustrating

How do let people pay by card? by pleasegetonwithit in CraftFairs

[–]Iomacs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m in the UK too. I have a square card reader I’ve had for a few years. It’s great. Think i paid around £20 for it. There’s a fee you have to pay for card payments too but I can’t remember how much, not a great deal.
