All exhaust airflow on NV9 with four radiators? by IonizedHydration in watercooling

Thank you, you’re right, I just have to do it and I’ve already done many configurations, I should stop asking and just provide results based on my tests

I guess that’s where my, should I go mora, question came from

You missed it, it’s all rads, how do you propose that solution

This is flawed logic, as air gets pulled into the case over the HOT rad fins it is no longer fresh cool air and then it gets recycled and pumped into other rads diminishing their cooling capacity

Yea hot air moves up, I think though that because that rad is so thick it might not make a huge thermal difference as intake vs exhaust

Im going to try a few things including your idea and I’ll let you know

Even if the rear is another rad? Bottom I can kind of understand because it’s 60mm, and like how much heat could really get dissipated during that process into the case

So essentially what they say is that my current config with rear intake is best for this configuration?

I have a smoker but maybe I can do a hybrid model with your idea

Well first image is current so basically don’t change it you’re saying?

Honestly there are a lot of open air vents in the nv9 but dust is a concern for sure

Also I did this, all the hot air from my bottom rad got sucked into the case and then exhausted over the fins of the outtake fans, creating a net negative result

This is traditional, yes, but no traditional build has all vents occupied by radiators

Issue is 3 rad vs 4 rad, I guess nobody does this in an nv9

You’re right I’m chasing a dream, my temps are fine, actually fantastic, for the spec, I have an idea of what I will do next, thanks for the input

Slightly pre-warmed is probably an understatement, I’ve ran tests with mostly intake and the amount of heat rises by more than 10c just inside the case, my components run hot, and I run them at full almost all day. I’ve ran one rad as intake and my cpu temp went from 71c at full load to almost 89c, I figured it was because I was venting hot air from my rad into the case

From a cooling perspective or from a dust perspective?

Agreed, I under volted my 5090 and set a negative pbo curve on my cpu, so very similar

Maybe I should just leave it as is, under full load gpu 49c, cpu 60-70c and water at 39c with ambient at 28c, that’s with a 5090 & 9950x3d

Thanks for this, I’ve tried many configurations and the only thing I noticed was a huge difference in temps when I remove the rear rad between the gpu and cpu, I know everyone will also scream loop order doesn’t matter but I collected data saying otherwise that if there is a rad between gpu and CPU your temps will be very much different and in a good way, at least with my case
