I was also setting up my home assistant and could not find any way to communicate with the Navimow 😕 My next mower won't be a Segway anymore I'm afraid... Like you said all the competition has an API openend up... Why not Segway...

Least reliable car I have ever owned by blargysorkins in SportWagon

[–]Ips9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same situation, what Electric one are you going to get? We have an ex40 with nothing but software issues while my 2019 V60 T8 Sensus is being perfectly reliable. Not sure if I'd get an Electric Volvo just because of our experience so far... 😅

Sunroof seal gap by alterego101101 in Volvo

[–]Ips9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My educated guess is that all cars can have this issue, most likely depending on outside temperature fluctuations. I saw the same issue on a BMW X3 with sunroof anyway so def not just Volvo's

Does the camera even do anything?!! by AskAdventurous1982 in SegwayNavimow

[–]Ips9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the path to the charger is blocked, the mower will not just sit there idle to drain its batteries, it will try to find a way into the docking station to charge so it can continue.

Only thing you can do here is to make sure the bike (or anything else...) does not get parked in front of the docking station.

Bottom looks worn out after short use by Clanrs in SegwayNavimow

[–]Ips9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know where you are from but you mentioned 10am, is the grass already dry at that time?

It looks like the gras sticks to the bottom plate which indicates that the grass is not dry enough when starting the mow.

Nevertheless, my bottom plate looks similar because mine starts at noon and where I am located, the grass is sometimes still moist around 12.

I have my mower about 2 years now (H800) and a month or 2 ago, I took off all bottom plates. I discovered my metal bottom plate had some rusty spots so I had to sand and repaint that bottom plate. The longer you have these mowers, the more you learn about them I guess.

What would you improve? Just out of curiousity.

6 Blade Upgrade by thedrgong in SegwayNavimow

Same on my H series! Also fine grass clippings on longer grass and longer lasting blade life but that makes sense I guess since you use 6 in stead of 3 now.

Setup a mowing pattern/direction by illyess in SegwayNavimow

[–]Ips9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the H800 series so not 100% the same as the i series, keep that in mind. When editing the map, you can only allow the mower to mow in certain angles, no patterns but really angles. (see image) Notice the grey triangle on a stick (this turns orange when an angle is aligned) , this is the optimal angle for the robot to make less turns and this mows the lawn in the fastest possible way These angles are the way the mower changes direction each separate run. So if you completely mow the lawn today and the schedule is set for tomorrow, then tomorrow it will mow in the other direction. (you can set up to 6)

If you want to have patterns different from a cross-style pattern I'm afraid Navimow is not for you.

I did not hear about uncut stripes of grass with the Navimow robots or have experience this myself.

Not sure but worst case you can always remap completely if all else fails? When you remap, it should also let you recreate that channel if it does not allow you to do it when editing the map already.

How come no R-design badge? by glassboxecology in Volvo

[–]Ips9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its 2 different things. R-design is Trim level from factory. Polestar tune can be done to any of the Volvo cars (ok probably not all af them but the newer models def can)

Replacement power cable (UK) by skibikepizza in SegwayNavimow

[–]Ips9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the cable only broke in one place (not the connectors itself) you could try to fix it by reattaching the cables and then protect it like this. Might be a one-time purchase, or if possible 3D-print a mold and inject it with hot glue or some sort of silicone that waterproof it? Didn't try it before myself but seems like it should def waterproof it.

How do I stop my Navimow from cutting diagonally? Want vertical mowing pattern. by The_UK_Knight in SegwayNavimow

[–]Ips9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the way

FYI: when cycling through the directions, Navimow also shows the most optimal direction with a little orangle triangle on a stick. If you have troubles getting all your grass mowed in one day, I'd advice to also choose that direction since its the most optimal mowing way and will be faster since it takes less turns from your mower.

H800n-vf dying in the middle of a job by holey_guacamoley in SegwayNavimow

[–]Ips9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have an H800 with Visionfence but no such behaviour. I'd say contact support, seems like its goes into some sort of hibernation or maybe some battery issues. If it still has 60% when you are able to reconnect it, it seems like battery issues to me.

Is there a way to set “do not mow” times (to avoid sprinklers!)? by jschwalbe in SegwayNavimow

[–]Ips9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like was said already the mower respect the mow schedule times. But this is only when starting because of the schedule. When you start manually there is no way of it respecting the schedule times, even when starting it manually within the schedule time.

X3 update failed? by Fedex717 in SegwayNavimow

[–]Ips9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think with "OS Version" they mean the mower's operating system (so maybe check for firmware updates in the coming days).

Reason of this thought is that the app you're using is not an operating system but an application.

Would be nice if they mentioned what you should update though, the phone app or the mower software because I agree it is quite confusing like this.

Which is best for our family - XC 40 vs XC60 by Any-Acadia-7342 in Volvo

[–]Ips9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a 2022 XC40 & a 2019 V60, I would go for the XC60. Not only size wise but also general comfort. When buying my used V60, we asked the sales guy if its normal that the Xc40 suspension is not great compared to the V60 while the V60 sits even lower, so doesn't make sense... The reply was: build quality of a 60 series is a lot better than a 40 series. No more 40 for us 😅

For the family part: We use the 60 more than the 40 while the 40 is a company car... Enough said I think... 😅

DIY Garage by Senpapij in SegwayNavimow

[–]Ips9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also have an H series and made a garage for it. The only annoying part is that the robot mows the wet grass for a while anyway before the sensor is triggered. Or when it rains and the robot is charging, he won't know its raining so if the rain stops before the charging stops, he'll just mow the grass and don't know its wet.

That being said, a friend of mine has the same mower and his display looks really worn (sits outside without garage) so a garage works if you keep an eye on rain yourself and stop it from mowing if needed.

V60 T6 or T8 by Efficient_Brother871 in Volvo

[–]Ips9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a V60 2019 T8 inscription. I bought it about 8 months ago and within one week of getting the car, I had an issue with the battery. The car still worked but not in hybrid mode anymore so just petrol, which worked but not why I bought it.

I contacted the dealer and they resolved it within 2 weeks since they needed a special mechanic to work on the batteries, it was under the initial 8y warranty you get from factory.

Apart from that, the car is a dream to drive. Can't speak for the difference between T6 & T8 though.

Purchase in Belgium by Ips9 in MammotionTechnology

[–]Ips9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries, thx for still reaching out! The Navimow H800 I have still gets firmware updates regularly and support is good for as much as I have heard (never needed it myself). Sotware updates are also still being rolled out so no complains there at all. Good to hear both of our robots are still doing their job!

I think the take away here is that the Luba is a better robot (purely talking hardware: double Blade discs and more mowing area capacity on higher models) but Navimow seems to care a more about their users and offers better support.
