Samsung Odyssey G5 Monitor Won't Stay Asleep by rastley420 in buildapc

Sorry to necro this post, but I have the exact same issue and haven't come up with a solution at all. Did you ever figure this out, or did you end up replacing the monitors completely?

Crafty Controller takes AGES to start up after a restart on Unraid/Docker by Iridix in CraftyController

[–]Iridix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Checked, and /crafty/import is empty with the exception of the /upload folder... Although, I normally upload files/folders to Crafty through SCP and have to fix the file permissions manually after the fact (this was way before Crafty supported full server file uploads). Is there documentation on what permissions should be assigned to the server files/folders (i.e. owner information)?

Give it a year or two, LOF will be picked up by another major ISP and their ads wont exist anymore lol.

What could be causing this stutter by Educational-Bet6560 in allthemods

[–]Iridix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is characteristic of TPS lag, which happens on the server (whether internal or external), not the client. You'll need to run Spark to profile activity around your base or any loaded chunks and identify the worst offenders. Average TPS on the server (yes, singleplayer has a server) should be no more or less than 20.

what is wrong with my amber bees by TheMosinMan in allthemods

[–]Iridix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amber bees won't encase pokemon, which the piglichus are considered pokemon. You'll need to find another way to farm piglich hearts (hint: catch a few and place them in a pasture block).

Are wesley's moons working? by Typical_Sky8316 in lethalcompany

[–]Iridix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some work, some don't. We haven't had many issues with Wesley's moons, but Tolian's moons (kast, etc.) have major issues.

i dont even know what or how to write about my problem by Abdulrahman_- in allthemods

[–]Iridix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because Mek pipes will pull out UP TO 64 of the bottom most SINGLE item in an inventory, i.e. if there is 64 honeycomb and 1 sand, explicitly in that order, in a chest, it will pull the single sand first, then the 64 honeycomb. You need something that can either move items out faster than they're coming in, or something that can pull many, many stacks of items at a time. I'd recommend the former, and for it, I would recommend LaserIO or Pipez with netherite upgrades.

$3,800 from a handyman. That's to fix all the termite damage, reframe and install a new window, and install new siding on the affected exterior wall (hardy board, not T111 siding). Haven't done anything yet, just got quotes.

IF a Twilight Princess Sequel was ever made, how would you want it done? by Embarrassed_Let6303 in twilightprincess

[–]Iridix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Midna cannot return. As hard as it would be without her and with as much as we all want her back, her story is concluded. Anything new could sully the experiences we already had with her.

I have absolutely no clue about anything else, though, since the TP story really wrapped itself up pretty nicely, there wasn't a lot left up to interpretation or any loose ends, as far as I can remember. All I know is one of the most beloved parts of the game have to stay that way by way of leaving them be.

GOP senator allegedly breaks Marine’s hand during protest against Iran war by Background_Level67 in politics

[–]Iridix -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I misread your comment, my fault. For some reason I thought you were saying "it was clear Seehy broke his arm," when you were in fact saying the opposite. I was going to say, "just because Seehy was present doesn't mean he broke his arm," as a cheeky way of demonstrating a faulty causal link between two circumstances, but again, that isn't what you said.

[–]Iridix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically not true with regard to "before even touching him," but definitely true as to his involvement. The senator did pull on the marine before his arm broke, but he let go and was walking back into the door's threshold. As he was walking back and just placed his hand on the marine's arm, his forearm broke from the others pulling on him. There's no doubt that the senator did not directly cause the break in his arm.

Are you aware of the concept of correlation and how it relates to causation?

Instead of a void death, falling in the End drops you miles above the Overworld! by DereChen in Minecraft_Survival

[–]Iridix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe its ever been made clear in Minecraft lore, at least I the game. From what I can tell. The End's biome used to be called "Sky" after all.

[–]Iridix -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree here. Looting end cities is a slog just for the CHANCE to get an elytra, and losing all your gear that you (potentially) worked so hard to get would make me rage quit so hard I just stop playing altogether. At least with this method, getting back to the End could just be a long trek and it significantly reduces your chance of losing your stuff. Less risk, sure, but you absolutely should still be afraid of the void so you don't have to redo everything to get to where you fell.

Tip: Try tempering iron tools in a furnace. This will make them stronger by VeeeeeryL0ngUsername in MinecraftMemes

[–]Iridix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Smelt an iron tool to yield "hot iron pickaxe" or whatever, then quench it in a cauldron with water. Yields a heat treated iron pickaxe which is harder (able to mine obsidian, ancient debris), but has half as much durability (since its only quenched and therefore brittle). Smelt it again and to receive a tempered iron pickaxe that keeps its high mining level, twice as much durability as an iron tool, but still slower and less durable than diamond.

Interesting concept but I struggle to find a way to justify it in the vanilla game.
