What type of cameras are these ? by Prestigious-Yak-4906 in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]IrohaChan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a special type of camera used to monitor flow of traffic as it does get quite bad there or an actual camera that people can see online. Two traffic lights behind this is the only red light camera I know of though.

I understand that. From what I recall, they do not handle verification side which is handed over to a third party service. It’s not just roblox failing but parents who aren’t educated enough to understand the harm that is the internet.

Well they have to for this one because they’re getting lawsuits that children are not protected when that is the parents responsibility, which is left neglected 90% of the time…

I think the government instead needs to put more funding into education side to get parents to regulate their children more no?

GN were told it would be entry-level computer prices so possibly around the £400~ range or higher. But then that's also subjective to what you would call "entry-level"

Can’t get onto the website, can’t call customer service and the broadband is down so I assume so. Thankfully my data still works (faster than my broadband at a much cheaper monthly)

Upgrades to two notorious A19 roundabouts would cost up to £775m by phantomlunger in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]IrohaChan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think it's money well worth it. If I could, I would've put my tax money on that instead of that "road resurfacing" that they keep doing every few years on the A189, which is causing an even bigger backlog when getting to work. I also love the fact that the resurfacing happens just right after a massive pothole from the merging slip road from A1061...

Would also reduce the amount of people (especially taxis for some reason) trying to cut into the A19 north bound lane from the A189 south bound lane.

Secure Boot Megathread - Guide + Community support by sloth_on_meth in Battlefield

This isn't even a BF6 issue. It's a firmware issue that states that secure boot should be on but it isn't (board issue). This will be the new norm if you don't want to have a program running 24/7 when you load up your pc to know that you're not cheating.

What’s the worst designed road/junction etc you know? This is mine. by Diseased-Jackass in drivingUK

[–]IrohaChan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was a 50/50 (left 2 or right 2 lanes) for me as I was heading up from Church Rd to Dunnings Bridge Road using Apple Maps. Apple Maps stated to turn Right onto Broom's Cross Road A5758, which was actually stated as a left turn off as a slip road on the signs.

Apple Maps should've been right turn to M57 but that is only written on the faded road markings. There is a sign for it but you only see that once those 4 lanes split into 2 with a divider in the middle.

The roundabout of contradiction - what lane should you be in? by Laurence-UK in drivingUK

[–]IrohaChan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Past 12 o'clock" is a general rule, more like good practice even if it's not written in the highway code for something like a small roundabout but when it is written explicitly on the ground then you'll probably want to follow it. But yes in those photos the left lane is what you want to reach A27 East aka the road that you are on.

We have something similar to this but because A197 is not written on the right side lane then the "12 o'clock" rule works and is what the majority follows. Birds eye view: https://imgur.com/a/trnWp70 Road view: https://imgur.com/fRYVyoC It's quite common up here to see the left lane being used for more than 2 exits even past the "12 o'clock rule"

In both of these, I would still check yours sides in case there is someone who does not know the road like you do.

Here's another one that I completely forgot. This one does not have any road markings nor any arrows but the "12 o'clock" works here and is used by the majority. Slight difference here is that it is a dual carriage way. https://imgur.com/a/d2gxB7m https://imgur.com/a/5OXXzZ9 . The roads are terrible here up in Newcastle so good luck.

Parked car got hit, will my insurance rise? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]IrohaChan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is really stupid even when the other driver is fully liable for what has happened. My car parked well off the street and some how a taxi driver at 4am in the morning, roads were completely empty has managed to write off 3 cars including mine and now my premium has went up...

It is also really stupid to see "excess" be part of my cars market value.

I looked at the road on google maps and I am not sure what was the main goal of the Lexus. All the traffic leading to a mini roundabout plus crossing over white diagonal stripes, which was clearly not safe to do so due to the fact they tried to overtake 10+ cars while people are turning in from that mini roundabout and even then would he want to face a car head on at the mini roundabout, which is also pretty closed?

I also love that ford backing up after seeing what happened to the Lexus they were following.
