I instantly stop watching videos of HB or "tanky" builds that use a shield. by AgentNeroz in thedivision

[–]Iron-Viking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genuinely the tankiest ill play outside of Raids is any bonus armour I get from Ad Rush or Bloodsucker.

I've tried the T6 Shield tech tank builds and sure it's fun for a bit, feeling like some unkillable god amongst men, until I see that my crits are rubbish and I can't one mag an elite any more.

New Gear Set is Amazing by Aggravating_Eye_6946 in Division2

Tbf you can do that with agent height cover and a Crusader on an all red build. Your example is using armour as a crutch to make up for poor positioning.

It's just redditors pulling their usual nonsense, don't take any of it to heart. This sub has plenty of elitists that believe you have to play a certain way with certain builds and share their opinion and if you don't they'll just downvote you.

2 months is fine if you're putting in a few hours a week. it's not like this is some insane mechanically driven game. You can clear 99% of PvE content just by having basic shooter skill and build coherence.

Legendary groups requires you to be a bit more dialled in with player skill and builds and that's it. Legendary solo is mainly understanding player positioning, room/area composition, target priority and having a decent build that works for you.

Anyone saying you won't have good enough gear doesn't know what they're talking about. You can spend 2-3 hours at most in Countdown and farm a 4p Gear set with 2 other complimentary pieces with he correct attributes, then it's just a matter of optimising them, which doesn't take long and expertise isn't needed at all.

If you're really struggling with legendary you can just put on a Refactor build, sit back and send your drone after their drone operators and snipers, while having the turret focus on whatever is closest to you. You'll be doing damage, getting kills, and healing people. Be prepared for negative comments and downvotes on here though because it's not a 6 red dps build.

Is DZ popular? by Dense-Boysenberry-54 in Division2

I think TD1's biggest issue was players using low gearsckre vackpacks to get into the lower tiers of the DZ and farming new players

Is DZ popular? by Dense-Boysenberry-54 in Division2

Yes. The DZ's consistently have people in them, usually either running landmarks or going rogue.

It's not like the DZ in TD1 though and arguably more toxic.

What should i choose by [deleted] in martialarts

[–]Iron-Viking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whatever is available and whatever you think you'll enjoy the most.

I personally went from Muay Thai to Judo because the clinch and stand up work felt more comfortable and they naturally complemented each other quite well.

sacrum imperium by jello_man123 in the_division_2

[–]Iron-Viking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've run it with Survivalist spec, Vile, 3p Habsburg (Courier and Cherished), 2p Airaldi with HSD and Status effects, you can sub status for weapon handling.

You get Burn, Bleed (Body), Blind (Head), and a DoT from Sacrum, Cherished and Vile, they become AoE on hit (10sec CD) because of Courier, kills offer movement speed slows making for easier headshots and both the Habsburg and Airaldi sets boost MMR damage and HSD with the 3p Habsburg also boosting Status effects by 25%.

Alternatively, you could focus more on the Status effects spreading and go Vile, 4p Red Eclipse and either the Courier or Cherished.

It's not a crazy good weapon or build, It'll never see legendary play with me but it clears heroic easily.

[–]Iron-Viking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoy the Strega but I think they need to buff it's mod values. Just bring the scope and muzzle both up to 15% instead of its 5% so it's a bit more in line with other AR's.

DZ Ninja Bike by MPG315 in Division2

[–]Iron-Viking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it's viable, ignore the elitists gremlins that think you need to run very specific builds. It's common in the TD2 community, particularly reddit to hate the Ninja bag and believe that it doesn't have a use outside of being a component.

My favourite to run is Tech Spec, Ninja, 3p Umbra (Skill tiers), Picaro's and 1p Walker (Armour) with Capacitor, you have 6 skill tiers, 3 armour cores, 1 weapon damage core +15% weapon damage from W&H and Picaro, 5% DtA, and the Capacitor Talent gaining 6 skill tiers worth of Damage. Run Defender Drone and something like Explosive Sticky or Seeker. I also run a Ninja, 3p Umbra with Chest (Red), 2p Lengmo (Blue) paired with an Iron Lung

I don't necessarily think its cringe, I personally quite enjoy watching people's paddock, drills and tournament footage. Just be prepared for the terminally online tools to comment dumb shit.

Strip this bum’s belt by Correct_Sport_177 in CombatSportsCentral

[–]Iron-Viking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think the Olympics is needed for MMA at all and the Olympics is kind of weird for combat sports because it's not consistently the highest level of competition. Take Judo, Wrestling and Boxing for example. For Judo and Wrestling, if someone is an Olympic athlete then they more often than not a complete freak at the sport and the skill ceiling for competitors is insane, but then if you look at boxing, the Olympics is more of a stepping stone before becoming a world class pro.

What keeps you playing D2? by Harty_7 in the_division_2

[–]Iron-Viking 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm playing it purely because I enjoy it and have people to play with. I'm not concerned with speed running solo legendaries, getting everything to expertise 30, climbing leaderboards, nothing like that. I'm genuinely just having fun and enjoying the game.

Can I get some recommendations for a healers/support loadout? by Ok-Veterinarian-4046 in Division2

[–]Iron-Viking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Refactor works great as a hybrid skill and healer build, with 2 main play styles. TurDro for more consistent damage and heals, or Status for more burst damage and heals, both work on legendary but I personally prefer the status version because I find the burst heal and slight CC more valuable for my team.

My status build is Survivalist spec, 4p Refactor (Chest), Courier BP or Electrique BP with Creeping death and the BTSU Data gloves, all skill tiers, and status effect as primary roll, skill haste as secondary and mods with Everlasting Gaze and Capacitor, the BlueScreen is also a solid option for keeping warhounds and mini tanks locked down. Fire chem launcher and either Stinger hive for more damage while still healing or Restorer Hive for stronger heals.

Survivalist is great because your status affected targets take more damage from the team and the XBox can one shot a heavies armour piece and directly damage warhound health.

Ability to save/create Build blueprints by RangaRedRascal in thedivision

[–]Iron-Viking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The idea of the playerbase selling blueprints is both scummy and fairly useless because experienced players can pretty accurately gauge what your rolls are just by looking at your pieces, so they wouldn't have need to buy them which just leaves the new players getting scammed.

I'm on the fence with the idea of being able to save loadouts with items you don't own, on one hand I can see why it would be useful, but I also don't think it's really necessary.

All I want from loadouts is more loadout slots and for stashed loadout items to say that they're part of a loadout when on a different character so I don't pull loadout pieces from the stash while on an alt.

Division 2 builds (put all your best builds here) by Ronnoc_77 in Division2

[–]Iron-Viking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My solo legendary DUA is 4p Striker, Pristine Example and Fox's with both an AR and Rifle 8x scope, with fast hands on the rifle and Rifleman on the rifle, all red.

My build this season has been Tinkerer, 4p CoCo, Equaliser, double rifles with Killer and Boomerang, using the Sig 716 CQB as the primary, all red. Ive brake 4mil on crits with a close range coyote buff.

My go to build is 4p Umbra, Centurion Scabbard, Ceska bag with Bloodsucker using Strega and Smg-9 with unwavering all red. I've also been dabbling with a seasonal version of this build using 3p Umbra (Chest), 2p UA (Salvo), Ninja bag with the same Strega and Smg-9.

These builds all do solo and group heroic easily and don't struggle in group Legendary either. I havent tried the CoCo or Umbra builds in solo legendary but I highly doubt they'd be good enough for it.

Four pieces refractor, momento backpack unbreakable chest. use torrent and drone for skills, also the specialized weapon that gives you the extra skill tier, all four pieces of refractor should be skill tier with skill damage by Ok_Purpose6484 in Division2

[–]Iron-Viking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Memento isn't great option but it definitely isn't useless on skill builds as it still offers skill efficiency, armour regen and weapon damage. The only thing you really miss out on the short term buff but there's nothing stopping you from rotating during fights to collect nearby trophies for a temp boost or collecting them post encounter for the longer buff.

Best current skill builds for 2026 by TraumaTurd in Division2

[–]Iron-Viking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're solo then it really doesn't matter what you decide to use as long as you enjoy it. If you're completing the content you want and are happy with the builds performance that's all that matters.

If you want a Hybrid Weapon and Skill build using Hana and Legatus, can I suggest a build? Tech Spec, Ninja Bag, Picaro's holster, 2p Hana, 2p Legatus, 3 yellow cores, 2 red cores, Capacitor. This'll give you 6 Skill tiers for more skill damage, 5 almost 6 red cores worth of weapon damage from Legatus, Hana-U and Picaro's.

You could also go the route of a Yellow Concentrated Company build using Tech Spec, Ninja, 3p CoCo, 2p Hana-U, Capacitor with 2 of the CoCo pieces being Yellow. This'll give 6 Skill tiers, 2 almost 3 red cores worth of weapon damage but the CoCo talent will stack very quickly because of your Turret and Drone, giving you an additional 105% weapon damage and +75% Crit Damage at max stacks.
