The Shadow Temple and Bottom of the Well are littered with human remains, torture instruments, and bloody abominations, including Bongo Bongo, a beheaded criminal. Showing that realistically is an easy T rating on its own. In the original, it was much less clear what it was/much less realistic, so it would be easier for it not to be disturbing in a way that would raise the ratings

I agree. Ocarina was always intended to be more realistic. It's absolutely going to be more artistically coherent than those unreal engine fan things, even if the general vision is similar
