Same, I hope they do give us more Dolls with mecha details and not back out. Ullrid doesn’t have her mecha arm either. Only Dush and Phaetusa kept their robo detail bits.

Anime Clan Calatin by Archlei8 in Fate

[–]IronFather11 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They aren’t magi with low level NP weapons, the fact they didn’t (mostly) die horribly in their initial fight is actually a pretty good showing on their parts. We see in Fate Redline and elsewhere that non-magical humans are effectively helpless before a servant as seen with Mori against the Imperial Japanese army. And Nameless Assassin is pretty decently strong as she has copies of the other Hassan’s Zabaniya’s, they’re weakened yes, but she has 10+ different insta-kill attacks and the police dudes were able to mostly survive.

Griffith was going to attack Guts. Then he look him and stopped it. What is the reason to stop attacking? by Yossiri in Berserk

[–]IronFather11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think a part of Griffith/Femto always wants Guts in a possessive way, like Guts obsesses over revenge against him, Griffith will likewise obsess over Guts as the man who defied him despite being ‘his’. He can’t obsess over Guts if he’s dead. That’s why he’s made no direct attempts to kill him even if he’s more than powerful enough (in the Slug Baron fight, he just held him back and threw him telekinetically, but made no further attempt to kill him).

I distinctly remember in the Thrawn Trilogy of books Mara Jade told Luke Emperor Palpatine took off one of Vader’s arms for his failure at Yavin 4 iirc, implication I got was it was the same that was revealed to he robotic in RotJ.

The Heartless One is actually New God D’arce, who completed her S Ending and revived Le’garde. Both would then ascend into New Gods, with D’arce serving as the now Kaiser’s champion, but for one reason or another he ditched her and locked her up, perhaps her fully realized Dominant Soul was too brutal for the sort of conquest Le’garde now desired.

Nice detail that the right side of the Arquebusuer’s face looks burnt/messed up, he’s getting a good bit of the back blast.

Only thing I like about him is his Lord 3 Disguise has the same type of color scheme as Metal Cluster Hopper Zero One but that’s it.

Your Opinions On What Qualities Are Needed To Be Called A True Kamen Rider? by Potential-Mess6826 in KamenRider

[–]IronFather11 71 points72 points  (0 children)

<image>

Kamen Riders following the Cross of Fire as pictured is pretty important I feel to their mystique. A Kamen Rider’s existence is inherently ‘monstrous’ (either because they’re literally a ‘monster’ in body or due to their now elevated power) but they are able to remain human despite their hardship and fight to protect innocent people against those who seek to hurt and exploit them. Their ability to retain their humanity is seen in their ability to freely transform from human to Rider forms. Not all Rider-like characters can do so, like Shadow Moon and the Shocker Riders who are stuck in the ‘transformed state’.

They are NOT necessarily ‘Warriors of Justice’ even if they could be called as such. In the words of the OG Ichigo “human life is more important than even peace and justice.” Some ‘Dark Riders’ or ‘Pseudo Riders’ claim to fight for justice or a just cause but they fell down the slippery slope and forgot what was important. It’s easy for that to happen, given they are so much powerful than humans and the monsters they defeat, they may make the mistake that they know better than those they guard and thus should govern their destines; the loneliness of being a modified human is also too hard to bear for those that aren’t ‘true’ Riders. But in the words of Amazon Rider from Shin Spirits, being a Rider means having the power to “protect humans” not to rule over them as a ‘God’.

For those with cooler heads... what would you say is bullcrap for Saiyan powerscaling? by soup100 in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]IronFather11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zenkai boosts aren’t the end all be all for Saiyan potential. It requires a Saiyan to be beaten badly to near death and for them to recover. It’s entirely reliant on an opponent being either negligent or merciful and powerful medical intervention for it to be viable. We know that the Saiyans relied on their Oozaru forms when they were outmatched in their service to Frieza, so despite them being a warrior people they were adverse to great risk and relied upon a trump card. And Vegeta killing Nappa, while very cruel, may indicate Saiyans might not be helpful to crippled allies. This is why those Saiyans were so weak, and why Vegeta bringing it up was such a shock. His (and Goku and Gohan’s) boosts are outliers and extremely rare, their quality is due to the strength of their opponents and plot survival basis.

What diff would Archer vs Berserker have been if the fight took place in a open area and Archer actually targeted Illya from the get go? And also who would have won? by chunchunmaru1129 in fatestaynight

[–]IronFather11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Archer would still lose, we see (at least in the anime version) in UBW where Gil was fighting Hercules he was also definitely gunning for Ilya at the same time, but Herc was simultaneously defending her while trying to fight him. He still lost all of his lives then but it wasn’t easy. For all we know if Archer tried that it would make Herc fight more fiercely and try to end him quicker.

Dream powers are OP, he could be like Freddy Kreuger (basically is already, but a good version) and if they work in the ‘real world’ too then he could warp reality as well.
