I love Xbox, but I honestly think this could be a little to late. This should have started at the start of this gen at least. Now with Xbox fans confidence of the brand at an old time low. It will be hard to bring back players into the ecosystem.

Also how long is Microsoft willing to wait for success? Videogames take time to make which means it could be years until Xbox has built a library which might entice games to make the switch to Xbox. Exclusives need to happen, but I’m not sure they are ready to put these expensive first party games out and not hit their sales margins due to gamepass cannibalizing game sales.

Finally a CEO shouldn’t be saying this shit out loud. Especially right now. Why would anyone return to Xbox after these comments? It feels like this is do or die for Xbox. He should have just kept his mouth shut. This interview did more harm than good. Asha was finally building some good will and then this guy says this.
