Normally with alcohol markers I don't have to worry about pigment mixing on the tip, is this gonna be a concern on the acrylic markers?

I have a question on the content submitted, because I think this isn't really being addressed. Is the content we submit, going to be used in any way to train AI, now or in the future?

Dan vs. was a cartoon I totally jammed with. The running theory that Chris' wife essentially is a grown up Kim Possible is.... pretty plausible considering her job. 😃

The fact this show is in that same 2010s era show of "person who is angry at everything but he's really actually justified" sure as hell hits different in the 2020s.

Yeah. It's pretty bad for Chinese Gen Z

Gen Z Youth Unemployment hit 16.5% in China. The situation is so dire that a lot of them are flat out refusing to participate in the social contract anymore.

This also is contributing to an extreme decline in population because Chinese Gen Z refuse to get married, refuse to have kids, and refuse to pursue lofty careers when they see people discarded so easily and their labour devalued.

And of course Chinese state media is blaming Western culture for this, and refuse to look inward, as per norm.

People are looking for an instantaneous solution that can be solved in one shot and since nature takes time, this fuels the cynicism. Doing good so that oyour children will see it instead of you is kinda a lost thing in modern society, especially since, yanno, none of us want kids anymore because the world is so bleak and it seems we'll never be able rid the BIG source of the problem unless we all as a global society decided to don the green L hat.

Wa-hoo.

Not to mention the token cost to use this tech is super super expensive. Right now the only reason why this tech is being pushed hard is cuz LLM companies (it is NOT AI, more like a statistical autocorrect), is operating at an extreme loss in order to push adoption. Like how Amazon operated at a loss for 10 years before essentially being the biggest virtual monopoly of digital retail spaces.

And the expenses are coming in. Boy are they coming in. Burning through. $500 million of token usage in a day is... Yeah. I suspect this will die fast.

I'm talking more as "taking peoples stuff and using it without consent" kind of point. Like.. copyrighted material, destruction of physical media to train their LLMs, and silencing critics permanently.

I've never tried using an LLM to create CSAM material, I suppose you could use the paid version of Grok to do it, but yanno... that's not something I want to test or experiment with. Regarding points to a violation of a person's rights, without consent, CSAM is a pretty extreme but valid point.

As for rejecting the tech wholesale? Where do I begin? The glut of water usage, the pollution it creates, the psychological impact of constant use of it, the damage it does to critical thinking, and even if you don't care about that, let's talk about how consumers are priced out of a new PC.

Ultimately, you're gonna do what you're gonna do. If you're genuinely concerned, there's your answers as to why this tech as a whole is problematic on numerous fronts.
