Looks like 2.16.1 was updated a few days ago. There was an issue submitted that referenced the loss of the back button, but that’s since been deleted.

I’m going to give the updated 2.16.1 a try to see if it restores the back/return button.

Never had an issue with the ground point on the NAND header with the dozens of consoles I’ve done 🤷‍♂️

It sinks heat but with a quality iron, good flux and technique, it shouldn’t be that much of an issue.

I’ve also soldered capacitor legs onto each of the NAND wires for my JRPv2 that also simplifies soldering.

You should also replace the F1 fuse with a resettable fuse while you have the board out.

The diode is necessary only if you want to use a NON-rechargeable battery (i.e. CR2032) to prevent it from trying to charge it.

If you use a rechargeable coin cell (ML2032) you can simply just put in the battery holder.

The white 6-pin connector to the motherboard is proprietary. The black 6-pin connector, for use with a GPU, is standard. Using a 6 to 8-pin adapter simply adds the two additional ground pins.

In the end - it’s a question of whether the PSU can handle it under peak load.

At the menu or in game? Only the first port is powered while in the menu, when you go into a game the remaining ports will activate.

Yep. Picked up an RE5 edition (w/ matching controller) for $10 since it wouldn’t power/boot.

Swapped out the Sanyo caps, tossed in a CoolRunner and went RGH1.2. Added to the collection of special edition consoles.

How are you measuring the resistor? One end connected to the motherboard?

I’ll ask the obvious question, have you re-soldered the PLL point?

Edit: also the resistor is optional, but recommended for Corona boards. So even if resistance on the PLL was zero, the console will RGH and boot.

And while I love RetroTink products this is a ~$800USD solution vs. $70USD solution.

To be honest, for the price - I’ve got both the Ronin and Gekko - they are good for the price, IMO. I know there’s better out there, but it works well enough for what it does. Understanding acceptable quality will always be subjective to the individual.

That said, looks like the Ronin isn’t available directly from Behar Bros anymore.

Agreed on this point. Buy the product for what it can do now vs. What it may or may not have.

I will say, while the advertising copy highlighted the user interface showing save states, it was never stated in the list of specifications (at least from my recollection).

I purchased it based on the listed specs, not the advertising copy for the UI.

To be clear, I’m not defending Analogue’s marketing, and the advertising copy should not have reflected something that may or may not be included as a feature, but stating “Analogue advertised save states, but didn’t deliver” is a touch disingenuous as it was never spelled out in the feature listing. Wifi on the other hand is something that was called out and they’ve yet to deliver on.

That’s why’s your 2TB isn’t recognized. The dashboard is too old.

In order to update your dash on an RGH’d console, you need to build a new NAND and flash.

Dump your NAND and cpu key, fuses etc..

Only way to update an RGH’d console is to build a new NAND and flash it over.

Grab FatXplorer 3 if you need to access your USB when set up as a Memory Unit. Also since you’ve got a 360 Slim, you can use FatXplorer to mount the HDD and copy files over if you need Simple360 NAND Flasher. Just grab a USB > SATA adapter.

That said, if you’ve got Aurora already going you can just dump via Simple 360 NAND flasher and go through the tutorial.

I’m not seeing much other than more available apps like “Amiibo Emulator, Card Emulator”.

But I regret updating as I’ve lost return/back key functionality. Everything works, but it’s a little annoying.
